I just got the game LAST WEEK, and am having the boarding issue -w- the 1.07 patch. I was not aware that the keys were user definable, but i stand by my statement that there is no good reason to have made the hot keys different in the first place. I will download the 1.08 patch and try again, however at this point i'm burnt out on CMSF so it will have to wait. I was only back at the BF boards looking for a way to play CMX1 on my new computer and figured i would pour some gas on the fire over here due to the attitude i perceived from the BF staff on the CMX1 boards. I really don't understand all the hostility, are you angry that you made a game series so good that people are still playing them after all these years? From my perspective CMX2 is sort of like the "new coke" if you remember that.

Here is why i stopped playing CMSF after a dozen or so attempts. 1) In the tutorial campaign i have never been able to get all my guys into their vehicles at the same time. There are always 1 or 3 stragglers milling about their vehicle while they rest of the squad is mounted up ready to go. 2) the ridiculous interface with N for move S for reverse or what ever. It appears that you were trying to make the hotkeys as different as possible from CMx1 as possible just because you could. I can think of no good reason why you would not try to keep the hot keys the same as much as possible. I'm just grateful i waited and bought the game off ebay for $13 instead of buying it as soon as it came out like i did cmbb and cmak; back when i had a sense of loyalty to BTS.

Bumping this because i'm in the same boat, and this is the only thread i've found that has any real advice. Probably wouldn't be as upset if i hadn't gotten the better comp for CMSF, and it just isn't any fun so far. It very frustrating, telling a squad to load up in their vehicle and continually having 1 or 2 standing around outside.

does anyone know where i can get the aachen scenario for CMAK?

anyone have any knowledge about whats up -w- the blitz i havn't been able to load it for almost a week now? however i did get AARs from there for my cmbo scenerio.

I thought i saw once that Dorosh or someone did a portrait mod using ASL graphics? anyone have a link to this, searches yield no hits. i HATE THE american AND common wealth PORTRAITS. HELP before i intentionally march my troops to their doom because i can't stand their mugs. THANKS

its down, its up, its down, you can get one page, but time out on the rest i was in there last night, so i would say its the usual blitz malaise

512X512 so i guess thats high res i just put the grid over what was in the bmp folder.

i'm uploading gridded terrain to cmmods as i type, i did all the open ground, i think also tried to make the grid color match the terrain color. let me know if i messed up http://www.cmmods.com/ its uploading now, and will take a while its all the terrain bmps so its quite large and oh yea, its under cmbo as cmak isn't open for business yet

i am having a similar issue with the newest nvidia drivers on 2k, it will lock up but if i wait it will come back, or i can alt+tab out after a few tries is this the case with you as well bjorn let it sit and see if the game doesn't start back up don't think its heat due to happening when comp first booted sometimes , sometime after its been on all day. also doesn't always happen but when it does it will happen to cmbo and cmbb off to do more testing

HELP using version 1.3.326 which i just downloaded it worked fine until i tried to convert a game to trusted/secure, then i got "Error while executing CMBB.VBS statement: Main Error: Unexpected quantifier Line: 737 Text: Error 5018: Unexpected quantifier (Microsoft VBScript runtime error)" now i get that whenever i try to play a game, PBEM Helper opens but if i click play i get the error. uninstalling reistalling doesn't help using Win2k btw thanks

" A condensed version of the BaBaDcond turn randomizer for CMBO This is a program that doesn't make CMBO turns variable like in CMBB just randomly decides if you are both going to click cease fire in a certain turn. Helps avoid cheesy flag rushes in turn 19 of 20. the original program was over 5MB this is a gutted version that does not self install or register file types, but is fully functional and is 507KB zipped. Includes vague instructions which should be all you need."

i got it, now the dilema anyone have any idea who or where badco is? the domain has been taken over by spyware, nester or some such redirect nonsense the file as it is, weighs in at over 5mb but the actual working part is under 1mb the rest being the installer which registers .ber files to the program, and puts it into c:/program files/badco this is totally unnecessary at the 4 mb toll so do i rip the guts out of the exe and make a zip of it (makes sense to me) or keep it intact, or do nothing until i hear from badco, all the directs of badco now are dead links. the program itself says it is freeware donate $2 to badco if you like it i just don't see the point of using 4mb of my space to host the file if i don't have to interested in hearing your opinions, eventhough i've pretty much made up my mind.
