  1. Thanks for the replies. I am using Windoze 7 so I'll try the 'delete' key.
  2. I am using the 'Direct' system of hot-keys in CMBN. I want to assign a 'Clear-Target' key. Although I can re-map any keys that I find in the existing hotkeys.txt file, I can't find 'Clear-Target'. Any suggestions? Thanks
  3. To confirm an error-free download, anyone have a md5sum for CM_Normandy_Setup.exe? (Yes, Yes, I know that TCP should take care of it.) I get: 5c8aa905fc004f709604cc588ae558eb CM_Normandy_Setup.exe
  4. If we are looking at funny commercials to kill some time, here is one with a tank and Mr. T
  5. I have this same problem but with hills. I haven't found a tiny or small QB set-up with hills that does not dump me back to the CMSF main menu.
  6. My list of "please add these features in the patch" were mostly listed above and after the comments from Steve and Madmatt will probably show up. To emphasize: Please allow a switch from "Real Time" to "We Go" and vice versa. (This would be very helpful in transitioning to "Real Time.") What about an "order of battle" page? It doesn't need to be to detailed but when I want to quickly find a sniper or something it would be useful. 180 Degree view switch hot-key. (This would be a real time saver.) Show ALL unit movement/target orders. (Very helpful for multi-unit coordination.) Ambient Noise toggle in addition to sound on/off. (So I can listen to 'Ride of the Valkyries' when playing and still hear important sounds.) View zoom from a static point. After three hours of play (not including the time it took to read the first 94 pages of the manual) I think this is a good game and if Battlefront's history is any indication, it will be a great game after a few patches.
  7. CMSF is working very well for me ... 55bcdf21b05d99a4b3abda9e3510ac3f CMSF_Setup.exe is the error-free checksum
  8. Yes, mine is the same and I can't install until I get home ... 55bcdf21b05d99a4b3abda9e3510ac3f CMSF_Setup.exe
  9. Would someone post the md5sum checksum (and the version of CMSF) from a GOOD download of CMSF? With this you can quickly tell if you have a good download or a corrupt one. For info on md5sum see: md5sum information
  10. July ??? The full page CM:SF advertisement in July 2007 "Armchair General" magazine states: "Shiping to stores in June, 2007"
  11. Thanks for the replies. I guess it is about time to pre-order
  12. My system almost measures up to all of the system requirements ... will this work well: WinXP GeForce 6800 2Gb RAM AMD Athlon 64 Processor 4000+ *** this is a 2.4Ghz processor, not the 2.6Ghz minimum If playable, how low will I have to go on resolution? (I can play the following at 1600x1200: Oblivion, GalCivII, Making-History)
  13. If you are interested in getting CoS to run on a current Windows or Linux system look at the dos emulator, DOSBox dosbox.sourceforge.net Although you can make CoS run faster than it originally did, it still takes a LONG time to play. I want something a little more up-to-date, and I have played the CM games for years so I am thinking of trying SC2.
  14. Thanks. I used to play Clash of Steel and that takes a LONG time, even on a current fast system (using dosbox).
