However If you look at the work of the European Union you will see a clear pattern that the protective stance of french allows Germany to dominate the partnership, makin alliances with other socialdemocratic countries. Yep they really are the new powerhouse of Europe. So what happened in 50 years? they are back on top of the european bunch. Like it or not. To dominate the world is not an easy task. To stay up there in the longrun is almost impossible. The only country ever came close is the UK. Like the US today it relied on a superb trade position in the world. But a war, national movements here and there made it impossible to continue with that. The mongolians someone may say? Yes a large country, but not very solid, extremely weak after oppresing diffrent cultures and building it´s power on military force. Today a very protective state, like it was back in the 1930:s. Afraid of Germany, dont like the influential US culture. France is a protector of france, a superpower wanna-be while Jean-Marie LePen roames the street and insist on keepin it...french. United Kingdom; Oh dear, survived yes but what happened thereafter? Yep lost the commonwealth and all it´s influential power. Anyone saw George Michaels new video...Tony B doing the dirty work of their former colony; USA... Russia; Saved the country but got communist-leadership for 46 more years. Today a more or less lawless country with enormous economical problem. Funny thing about this great country is that it always is the subject of great changes, however what never change is the suffering of it´s poor people. USA; Won the war and keeps on fighting real or imaginary enemies still today. The absolut winner of the war. The new weapons don´t have names like Sherman instead they are called Coca cola or McDonalds. In Sweden almost every tv-program is form the US. Hey Guys, you really won, we all adjust into your culture. So this is how it ended: We all end up in some sort of western democratic mcdonalds-cultural thing. It´s not bad but it could be better. Will it be a new world war then? Certainly, but it´s gonna be about trade and economy. Shootin someone in the head is out, letting everyone buy Mercedes is in. I most say USA seem the favorite to win once again. But hey what does germany think about that

I have some problems with the game. It freezes sometimes and wont play anymore when I play germany and the allied side purchases troops. Often it´s when the sovietunion buys troops but I´ve seen it happen when the britts purchase lately. Anyone knows why?

Killmore; Russian counteroffensive started 5 december 1941 led by the siberian troops. Japan attacked USA 7 december 1941. Rest my case.

Aloid; Remember that the German 4th army(Heinrici) stopped the Russian panzer-formations in the central front during Bagration 1944 - using infantry elastic defence. It showed it possible to counter blitzkrieg if righty conducted.

Hi! Just saw that SC been cracked by Razor 1911. A buddy of mine got a fake copy. Even if I think it stinks it is just more prove that the cd must in drive was a misstake. Ok I´ve played the demo now with diffrent sides and strategies. I agree there is a risk that the game turns into trench-warfare because there is no retreat rules or the possibility for conducting multiple attacks(units cannot move after attack and blockin friendly units). So I would suggest the following; - Increase the tank gruops fire power with one or two points. Further more, since I don´t got the manual, I would like to ask you what happens when a unit is cut off. What is the penalty for it and how does it change from round to round? - I would like to see higher loss of readiness when a unit is cut off. Unfortunately I doubt that could be implemented with current AI.

Agree Gunslinger. Keep it simple, but expand the diplomacy-part and the graphics.

Mincks! I´ve only played the demo but I partly agree with you on the opinions on trench-war. It would change game play a bit if units would retreat. But at the same time were talkin strategic view here. Panzers running over a well dug in infantry aint so easy.

But Is it possible to create more cities and terrain on the map? To make it more "crowded"????

Jmbunelle and Halzem; Ok I see. Well anyway thanks for your effort guys to improve the game. Maybe we will see an improved map in future versions.

I is hard to explain what I mean so I will give two example. First make it like the ones in Panzergeneral 2. Yes it´s possible to edit stuff like that. Or secondly make it like this; http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/europe/europe_ref01.jpg or http://www.maps.com/explore/atlas/phy/europe.html you see what I´m getting at? A map that looks authentic. Then you use german grey, french blue colour and so on to very light cover(dont know how to explain in english. Maybe this will turn it into 3D. Tough to do? Maybe. Will it improve game-feeling? Absolutely!!!

Please read this; I played all kind of computerized strategic-scope simulations(clash of Steel, Storm Across Europe, War in russia, High Command, Third Reich, Big 3, Pacific war, Axis and Allies and so on) and I must say Strategic Command is on to something very big. Fact is Hubert and you others; there never have been a TRULY good strategic simulation about ww2 in Europe. You got a major oppurtunity to create something awesome that will set the standards in this category. Hearts of Iron from Paradox will be in real-time and therefore will not compete in the same way. So please listen to my suggestions; - Keep Game simple. No need for more advanced rules and so on. - Graphics; Make it awesome, it will greatly enhance the experience and make the game playable for more groups of player. - Create a system for diplomacy. - Make Soviet as I mentioned one seperate alliance. - Make it user-friendly to edit and create mods and so on. Learn of the success of Panzer General 2, still today that game is very popular thanks to the strong community. thx for a great game, I will buy it soon. / Andreas, Sweden

I think it´s boring to watch. I would like a map that looked great, the one at use right now is a bit boring don´t you think? I would like it to be like a real map you find in a map-guide or like the ones they used in panzergeneral 2. Would something like that be impossible to create?

Hi Hubert, thx for this game. This fine forum-community shows that people want a game like this. However is it possible for you to change control of USSR? So we get 3 kind of alliances; Axis, Allied and USSR. That way we avoid coordinated and unhistoric allied warfare and also give the gamers a chance to just play russia. That would make this game superb.

This is not good. You shold´nt be able to use Russia and the West to coordinate the war. I really loved how it worked in Clash of steel: you could play either side from 1939 to 1945. Still, tried the demo. Strategic command is a fine game.

Hi all I have some question before I decide wether I will by this game or not. 1. If you play allies and the Sovietunion enters the war on your side, do you control their troops or will they be computer-controlled? 2. Can I choose just to play the soviets and not the western powers?
