Is anybody else seeing this too?

CMDD = Combat Mission : DDay Dodgers

This is CM3 with the CMII engine, which covers the Mediterranean Theatre of operations.

The research is one thing, but CMBO is a completely different program than CMDD. So, it will take time to make them all work together.

  3. Are you fellas insane ?

BTS is a business, they are going to do it this way:

CM3 - CMDD with CMII engine

CM4 - CMBO with CMII engine

CM5 - CMBB with CMII engine

This takes us to about 2007, then we may see something a little bit different.

However, by 2007 with the advancements in technology, perhaps a whole new rewrite will be in order ?!

Then the cycle repeats itself smile.gif

CM:D-Day Dodgers ( CMDD ) may include Africa as it is part of the Mediterranean Theatre.

Vietnam will not work. Walking through the Jungle and then 'Ambush' is to childish, people will not buy it!

Pacific Theatre is not being considered as the the owners do not feel comfortable with their knowledge level about this Theatre of operations.

Myself personally, I think Korea could be a great theatre for CM, lots of countries involved with lots of various equipment. I think it would be a nice addition to CM. However, I do not think it will happen for at least several years.

  5. Hello Lawyer,

Tried the 41.03 drivers and I still get no text. If I alt+tab out and get back in the text shows up! In addition, I still have a gamma problem, where I did not have enough light, particularly in night battles, the screen is literally pitch black smile.gif I defeat this problem with PowerStrip.

I do not understand what Nividia's problem is !!

  6. I have a Nividia Ti4200 and the Nividia Drivers 40.72 do not allow the Black Text to be seen.

In other words, I cannot see my password when I type it in and I cannot see the black text in the QB setup screen.

Does anyone know how I can get the black text to show-up without going back to the old 30.?? drivers ?

I did find the graphics of armour to be increased in quality.

    Thank you,

  7. Hi,

Thanks for posting. In the CMBB forum 'Lawyer' was stating they work for him. Sometimes these drivers work for some but not for most.

I will wait until I hear that 'most' have them working.

  8. I thought sewer movement could only occur when there is a scenario.

I am playing some Town battles now, where are the sewer lids? I do not see them !

  9. I bought a Nivida Ti 4200 128 megs of ram and enjoy it very much.

I have to use powerstrip to increase the gamma. Perhaps, the new Nividia drivers fix the problem.

I will wait until I hear what others have to say about the new Nivida drivers.

Absolutely! As Jackie Chiles would say; I am shocked and shagrinned.....mortified and stupified.....this case is an outrage.</font>
  10. A poster named PENG was here once. Someone started a thread with his name and threads with his name continue on to this day!

  11. Hello MadMatt,

I am not technical enough to setup gamma for various programs. My computer just has the basic software on it most home user have.

I have a ViewSonic PT775 as my monitor.

Several people in the CMMB forum mentioned they have the same issue, they did not stated what video card they have.

All I can tell u is the issue exists on my PC and Powerstrip allows me to control it. However, I would prefer that the issue be resolved.

Perhaps, the new Nvidia drivers deal with the issue, but the lastest drivers I am told do not work well with CMBB, so I am hesitant to use them.

    Suggestions would be appreciated!

That video card is very popular with customers and beta testers alike and so far your the only one that has reported this issue. Not sure what else to say at this point. The gamma for night battles is fine on my Ti500 GF3 with 30.82 drivers.

DO you have any custom gamma settings running that are handled by the Nvidia control panel?

  12. I found the correct commands which are:

    Properties

    Settings

    Advanced

    nView

    Device settings

    Colour correction

I adjusted brightness to maximum but it does not hold when I go into CMBB.

Has BTS contacted Nvidia to inform them of the issue ?

Is it Nvidia's fault or CMBB programming ?

I did not have this issue with CMBO.

At this point I cannot use the Night Battle command and dusk is difficult to use as well.

What do people do when this type of problem occurs ? My monitor is a nice View Sonic PT775, so I do not think it is the monitor issue.

    Help!

  13. I have a Nivida Ti 4200 card, where is the software that controls the gamma located ?

I get around it by using the 3dfx software which came with my card and runs in the background. I go into it and alter the gamma settings. It gives everything a washed-out look and has to be reset when I get come out of CMBB, but it works.

Check your software which runs alongside your video card and see if it allows you to alter the gamma settings in there. Then go back into CMBB.

    Hope that makes sense.
