  1. What were you watching... "Hambone and Hillie"? Which one of you played Hambone?
  2. I put up with it because I do not take any of it seriously.....I once got riled on these forums, not this thread, but some silly thing I had started in the GF a few months back. I simplly took unbrage to a comment made by a poster that I felt was rude and insensitive. After trading insults for a few lines...I just let it go..I was embarassed that I had let a few words get my goat so easily, and how I was able to spew insults at a total stranger with equal ease. Anyway it still bothers me now, and although words can beed indeed hurtful, they are in fact, just words. It has been said that the pen is mightier than the sword, in this thread that is certainly true, the internet has given us all the ability to form sentences for immediate publication on a scale unheard of only a few years ago. Abbott I always had you typed as the kind of guy I could sit down with, have a few beers, and kindle a fast friendship based on common experience and upbringing. Your on-going feud with Seanachai and Leeo is confusing to me frankly. People say and do dumb things all the time, and in far more serious situations than on an internet web site. I do not have first hand knowledge of how you have been grieved, if it started with those pictures by Patch , then I am truly confused because she has done something similar to that to everyone in this thread, but perhaps to you that was a line she should not have crossed...again its OK for you to feel that way. I will not take sides in this feud...I will continue to post in the MBT in the spirit in which it was created. I hate all of the posters here equally, so it should be easy to sling crap in any direction, if I so choose....but to reiterate...it is not serious.
  3. Well what you say is seemingly incongruous based on what I know here of these little postage stamp Emirates in the Persian Gulf. Other than what I see on "Mondern Marvels" which shows the sheiks spending their oil money on wild construction projects, and the like, and stories of slave labor camps. Your opulent and obviously alchohol-drenched lifestyle seems out of place.
  4. You only work a four day week? , and how do you get so much booze when you live in a Muslim country? I think we should turn you in to the local Mullah...it might be fun to have an example made of some feckless infidel. What goes on in that place? is it as liberal as it seems? Isn't the whole country technically a humidor, couldn't you just put cigars out on a window sill? Inquiring minds want to know.
  5. No...keep them running...but you can do an imitation of David Hedison from "The Fly"
  6. Can one be an Elitist bastard and a religio-tard at the same time, and still drive a pickup?
  7. What if you just put everyone on ignore? Then you would have the whole thread to yourself, and you could post anything that you wanted, but you would never get a reply, either good or bad ones....now would that be any fun?
  8. A large tool you asked for Sahib! Oh wait it's Boo !!!
  9. What would you budding comics do without the lines I throw you?
  10. It was not really a political statement Mr Shaw , I was simply remarking on the dearth of leadership in our great country. Perhaps while you are in Des Moines, you can ask some folks their opinions on the subject and report back here with some real info from the heartland. I am not being partisan at all....simply passing along some observations. BTW....how long after a post does the edit feature disappear...thats really a lame condition.
  11. I hate the fact that you can't go back after time has passed and edit a post...am I missing something?
  12. I am saddened by the lack of leadership at the higher in America. We have traded leaders for politicians, and for all of their talk about "change" and "leadership", the Democrats are as bankrupt as the Republicans when it comes to both things. All we are going to get is more of the same nothing from the politicians...while those forces that despise us plot their next move against us.
  13. Yesterdays hippies are today's CEOs in some cases, Mr Peng , a lot of the counter culture stuff from the 60's is now translated into "Corporate Paradigm". I guess feeeling good all the time can be fun....but eventually the hard work needs to be done in order to survive. I am remined of the tale of the ants and the grasshopper, but who pays attention to that old stuff now?
  14. I never got to be a hippy.....I spent my wonder years in the military, those experiences shaped my point of view...whether some think it good or bad, I can't account for that, but it is my point of view and I'm sticking to it.
  15. "Picture yourself in a boat on a river........." "We were talking - about the space between us all And the people - who hide themselves behind a wall of illusion Never glimpse the truth - then it's far too late - when they pass away."
