  1. Agh!!, the Story Teller has graced us with a rare appearance, wot happened old duck did your kayak spring a leak?, or have green gangs banned you from paddling along the laughing waters of Minnehaha, because of all the carbon emissions flowing from that ever flapping gob of yours?

Its nice to know that you are still drawing breath and haven't yet killed yourself with alcohol, although I'm sure you are trying very hard.

  2. Now John, is this topic really valid for the CMSF Forum?

I have a link to a story on how Doctors at the Mayo Clinic are using re-engineered AIDS virus cells to kill Leukemia cells in children and adults, with a 90% full remission rate. This story is far more uplifting and shows how hard we are working to alleviate human suffering, while ISIS continues to ravage the Middle East in its attempt to turn back the clock 800 years.

    Which would you rather read?

This is a game forum not a world events forum, John please learn the difference.

  3. @ Thewood1

What do you expect if the first post in a thread starts with calling Japanese Soldiers "tyrannical scumbags"...

The BFC forums were once good for "above average objective" historical discussions (because the focus was mostly on the military aspects only) but that time seems long gone.

To be fair the poster never mentioned who he considered  to be the "tyrannical scumbags" maybe he was referring to the British?

We have had our share of internet crazies around here, they usually get just enough rope.....you know the rest.

  4. First of all we have no proof that it was Russians firing the artillery, just because the video title says so, does not mean its true.

Second the dozen or so impacts are nowhere near the checkpoint, or in any way restrict acess to the surrounding terrain. Might just be a warning, or an inaccurate mission. It happened in January so whatever mission the artillery strike may have had is old news now.

  5. LukeFF Water as fuel is not that far out, at least on paper. There has been talk of ship engines that have the ability to extract hydrogen from the sea on the fly. Have no idea if there are any working models of any scale yet. But in theory, it is possible.

This technology is viable, but it's still decades away. Like most other plans for "Green Energy",  R&D is expensive, the market is not there to support it, and fossil fuels are becoming cheaper and cleaner.

Don't know if that observation is trenchant enough for this thread, but it seems to follow the new direction.
