A thoughtful human being can seperate real life from a game. The fact that you bring this up at all indicates this.
I started playing wargames as a kid, the foundations of new homes being built in our neighborhood served as the forts, bunkers and foxholes for our imaginations. I am 68 now, and the world has certainly changed, my son shudders at the thought that I might buy my grandson a toy gun. Toy guns are banned in some states because they look too real, youngsters have been shot by police in America because of toy guns.
I have always been interested in history, my dad and I watched every episode of "Victory at Sea" He was a veteran of the Pacific Theater. He bought me my first wargame "Gettysburg" in 1960, in 1966 I was in Vietnam no games there, quite a turn of events, but here I am today still playing.
There is no need for guilt, it is a pastime and a hobby, like collecting stamps or cooking. You can appreciate the folly of war, and realize where would the human race be today if we had spent less of our time and intellect coming up with new ways to kill each other.

Saw this in the notes:
Very heavily-laden soldiers cannot use Fast or sometimes even Quick moves
Does this mean that of you go to a vehicle, stock up on ammo or AT weapons the grunts will be tagged as heavily laden-ed and no longer able to use the quick or fast move?
It sure sounds like that could be a possibility. Only one way to be sure...run a test.

It is a rather convoluted process, but get used to it because Moon said this will be the way to do patches until the new system is fully implemented.
Just be careful, try to follow the instructions, and keep all of your activation keys in a handy safe place.

Its Aussie Speak for making a copy of.

Because you didn't download all of the .bin files
Thank you Moon.

Why is it asking to put in next disk halfway through installation?

Could someone get Chris a new sweater for Christmas. That brown thing he wears all the time is getting old.

There, fixed that for ya!

Ever wonder why people avoid you Michael?

Orson Welles causes a nationwide panic with his broadcast of "War of the Worlds"—a realistic radio dramatization of a Martian invasion of Earth.

We have caller ID here, we won't be answering.
You actually have such high tech telephony gadgets out there on the left coast?
No more flapping an old blanket over a smoky fire for you folks.

I have not seen such a constant flow of drivel since the likes of stikkypixie and Sturmsebber graced us with their unique lack of posting quality. If this is what passes for serfdom these days, well I just cannot describe my disappointment.
At least those two had an excuse, they were Belgians.

Yet another example of a proper Squire lads, one who undertakes original research into an important topic.
I don't recall the reference to the Black Plague ... it might have been something noted by one of my previous Squires, perhaps Agua Perdido. He was a stickler for research that lad was.
Had it been MY note it probably would have made reference to the TYPE of plague, Bubonic, Pneumonic or Septicemic ... it's something of a hobby of mine.
But good work sburke, you are once again showing your mettle and it's appreciated.
Your Liege,
Sir Joe Shaw JFLPCT
Royale brownnoser I say.

Oh, Niiiiiidannnnnnnnnn!
Why were so many of your troops clustered waaaaaaay back at the rear of the map?
How can they fight if they're hiding behind buildings and stuff?
My Waffen SS was hoping for a Sooper Colossal Victory instead of just your normal, every day Major Victory.
I are sad now.
Its a new tactical ploy, run to the rear edge of the map and hope time runs out before contact is made.
You have used it yourdelf no doubt.
Are you going to upgrade, slacker?

My goodness.. is this entertaining or what?
Its like watching a point of order argument at a Circus Geek Association annual meeting.

Instead of trying to discern his meaning from ... uh ... "material" ejected from him, we should go directly to the source and get his entrails.
That could be very dangerous considering the current state of the Ebola Breakout.
Perhaps immediate incineration would be best, forget about trying to understand him.

See this is exactly what I mean. And although it pains me to the point of actual physical discomfort to have to resort to referencing Nidan1 or The Juticurr for Life Joe Shaw (emphasis on the curr)for support in this matter.................
You should consider yourself damned lucky to have such fine examples to use as references, young lad.
We would normally throw you to the hogs, but even they have delicate stomachs and would not enjoy gnawing on your lame ass.
So for now we will just sit back and watch you and spurke attempt to insult each other.

It's just so DAMN cute. Almost exactly like watching two baby Howler Monkeys just learning to fling feces at each other, only less graceful.
Brings a tear to my eye it does.
How about "flinging" a turn. No references to PMs this time.

The "thugs from Californicate" came mainly from New York. People born in CA were mostly lovely folks...at least three or four decades ago. But now that the thugs from NY have been there long enough to sire a couple of generations, all bets are off.
Michael
I hope you enjoyed your "Indigenous Peoples Day" holiday last week.
I don't think that any self-respecting New Yorker would ever entertain moving to California, why would they move from a state with high taxes and government intereference to one with even higher taxes and more government interference?
Come on, no one has been "born" in California in the last ten years. Most residents these days being born South of the Border, and then migrating to El Norte.
Most real California Progressive Liberals have moved to Washington State, to create their own Neo Socialist Paradise.

I guess the Russians would call it "getting even" after what the Germans did in the areas of the Soviet Union that they occupied from 1941-1944. No need for links or youtube videos, its documented.
Neither side behaved like Boy Scouts.

My short time here is already shrouded in an ominous cloud of darkness due to the first response being made by an oddstraylian. Oh the horror, the embarrassment and the shame should my fair maiden see the type of riff raff I have decided to associate with.
The great thing about oddstraylia though is that if there is a nuclear attack on it, it'll look exactly the same afterwards.
His first post, and where does he make it? A lesson to be had for all Outreboarders and Newbies, jump right in, the water is fine...we love it when SSNs show their faces.
Its what makes our day, what floats our boat, and all of the other overused cliches that you usually hear of cable news programs. If you will.

You guys are getting way too icky (italics mine).
I blame it on the influence of SSNs.
