  1. You guys seem to think that Franco's Spain would sit still, smile, and bend over backwards to the evil allies - should they want to conquer Portugal for fun.... errmm... Think about this one more time. ~Norse~
  2. Yey I didn't add a password for the axis, but there is a password for the allies there. My wrong, first PBEM etc., btw, where is the gamefile?? I want it

  4. Otto is supposed to do it, but his not available for some time still.
  5. lol Want me to get the rest? The Nightmare is on! [ August 29, 2002, 01:48 PM: Message edited by: Norse ]
  6. Maybe it's just me, but have anyone else noticed???? CoS looks so much like SC!! What's this about, I must be the first to notice
  7. oh my god ROFL!! Duud, this one goes down as a classic!! Do you mind if I use this as my quote?
  8. When Sovjet declared war upon Finland in the winterwar '39 '40, then the allies (France and the Commonwealth) looked for ways to assist Finland. Thus, they "created" forces to be sent to Finland, but they needed a way to send them there (transport to Bergen, railroad to Sweeden, and to Finland). Therefore, they sent diplomats to Norway and Sweeden, and they asked Norway and Sweeden if they would join the allied cause. Neighter nation had any great desire to join this war, and let northern Scandinavia be the field of a major conflict, so both declined the offer and stood firm on their neutrality. ~Norse~
  9. Airsuperiority. Have it, use it, win the day
  10. I don't mean to put down your suggestion, but this would be completely without historical context! Both Norway and Sweeden were asked by the allies to join the allied side, whereupon they both replied "not a bloody chance" (during the winter 39-40). So there you go. Why? ~Norse~
  11. I think we can conclude this with a very famous quote... "never trust statestics"
  12. Right, enough said. The rest of this post replies to the boring what was already said here. Mister Anderson, an adjunct scholar of the Mises Institute, that teaches economics at Frostburg State University, cannot take pride in his work for he has not taken the time to do his homework. Or, he knows EXACTELY what he is doing, feeding mere lies to the American mass. He is talking about Europe, taking Sweeden as an example, and suddenly using the Sovjet Union as an example to why the European welfare systems does not work. Make no mistake about it, this is brainwashing at a high level. The free democratic nations of Europe are not comparable to the communistic system used in the Sovjet Union. Further, he is repeating that the bigger your salary is, the more you must pay in taxes. I dare anyone who is interested in what this mister Anderson hadto say, to take ANY nation of Europe, and study how much taxes it's citizens must pay at their different income levels. You will find, that it is the working class that is taxed the highest. Once you earn a certain ammount of money, the taxes let go, thus enabling you to spend your money on investing in buisnesses and hence to create jobs in the nation. I also notice the anti-Europeanism that is within his speech. "They think they are better than us, but they are not!" What exactely is this propeganda doing here Gunslinger? ~Norse~
  13. Correct me if I misunderstand you. Do you mean when you say "Festung Europe once again show's its shadows...", that EU is the Third Reich from ww2? About France, what on earth makes you say that France is afraid of Germany? They don't haveto be afraid of Germany. Germany has abselutely no interest in attacking France. Territories that could cause a dispute between them, are no longer a cause for fuss, read about Lothringen. But I am interested in hearing about your other point of view. What makes you say otherwise? ~Norse~
  14. Where do you get these figures? You say German produced 24,050 tanks during the entire war, when they chunked out 27,300 tanks during 1944 alone, and 19,800 tanks in 1943. ~Norse~
  15. Hell no, WAR ON TROLL!! lol, jk Alright, sure ~Norse signing fair enough right here~
  16. Dang. Have you talked to battlefront.com to confirm that the game is on your way? Man that's saddening
  17. Yes, this is the stereotypical spamming troll Make a suggestion, and they try to riddicule you and laugh it/you away. Maybe it worked 10 on 1 in the schoolyard when you were kids, try to grow out of it now. I said here is the rope, try to hang me. Is this the best you got? Pssst go away troll ~Norse~
  18. Coming from the one who turns his coat the way the wind blows. Just a joke of course...
  19. And now to the point I was trying to make in this thread...think about this and give me one or two good reasons the coup in Iraq does not fit into SC. Or did you ever think about why it might not work instead of how cool it would be? (Mind you, I like the idea, not that the Germans need it any easier than they have it now)</font>
  20. Now now, don't be so self-centered. It's done, look at the thread for this. Got any comments? State them there. I have more to say on the subject but I am waiting till Hubert returns. As they had a pro-axis coup, followed by Commonwealth intervention? Yes indeed. Already got Hubert's comment on this. This has already been discussed. But for you I answer yet again Mainly because I want the most historical accuracy as possible, as there were a full-strenght French Army holding the southern-flank of the American forces, with French corps garrisoning the major cities and helping the Americans in "the forgotten front" in western France. Yours is not a bad suggestion though, but Hubert is looking into it, so I am awaiting his final decision on this before I redo the campaign. Is that a threat? Now what would Immer Etwas say to something like this, hmmmm, alright got it. I live in Texas ~Norse~
  21. Wow, Immer Etwas, I am impressed. They just didn't listen to me when I said "I never said that", and kept dwelling on things I had never said, forcing me to explain myself on the very same issue 3 and 4 times over before they let go. And here you do this, so galantly, with minimal effort, in what seems to be almost less than 1 sentence. Wow. Will you be my mentor? Please? Man I got diplomatic skills to learn ~Norse~
  22. Thank you Immer Etwas!!! This entire forum had in the last couple days taken a very bad side (re-read the Finland thread for one, enough said already). And now this latest in the line, "hereby having opinions on this game is illegal and anyone making suggestions will be hanged!! Hear hear! Amen!" But now that your wise words are written, so it shall be done, and hopefully we can now go back to the friendly forum where we discuss everything-SC Now check this out, this is a sure way to push their buttons: I am for more map to the north where the lend-lease in Murmansk can be challenged and the battle of Narvik replayed, operating units from Norway thru Sweeden and into Finland, a Finnish Mannerheim line, Iraq as minor-axis, Denmark with corps on strenght 5 and a port on strenght 0, an editor that let's you remove the French maginot line for Battle of the Bulge campaign and where you can edit the neutral and the minor nations forces AND that let's you choose what side each nation has joined! I EVEN WANT TCP/IP MULTIPLAYER PATCH FOR THIS GAME! Too much to swallow? Here is the rope, try to hang me!! COMON!!!! ~Norse~
  23. Don't be offended by them Immer Etwas, they are just self-righteous who in the quest for SC perfection just might say: O God Shall Strike Down Upon Thee for making The Perfect Product, You Historical Freak Take it with a laugh Etwas
