  1. Oh and P.S a Tiger can't go 36 miles per hour or more correctly kilometer's per hour,ah there I go getting to informative for today's ignorant youth...EXCUSE MEEEEEE
  2. What you guy's expect this kid to actually sit down and read a book?Come on,that's expecting to much of today's active and energetic youth{considering that close to 50% of kid's are considered obese and some parent's are considering gastric bypasses for them this statement was meant to be a joke}.To think that they should actually sit down and learn something from the written word is preposterous,reading just is'nt fun,look at the popularity of such program's as "Hooked on Phonic's"designed to make reading "fun".I learned to read in a catholic school in the sixties and it definatly was'nt "fun"those nun's could be downright nasty.The prepubesent statement about "boob's"gives away the writer's secret lusting for Laura Croft's pointed "boob's"in Tomb Raider
  3. I really don/t think the M-79 grenade launcher was a "High-low pressure gun"or the"Hoch-Niederdruck system.The system used a seperate powder chamber to hold the high pressure between it and the barrel was a steel plate that was perforated with holes that allowed the pressure to bleed thru gradually into the barrel to provide a low pressure to propel the shell.This way you could use a powerful charge and have a light-weight barrel.On the 8cm. PAW to even further relieve the stress on the barrle it was made smoothbored and the projectiles fin-stabilised.The M-79 grenade launcher has a conventional 40mm cartridge
  4. Evidentally the shurzen was found to have a stand-off effect given the fact that the J version sported wire mesh shurzen protecting the hull,not much good against atr fire{factory swiss cheesed}
  5. I have a question also.What is a "stream feed error"?I downloaded alot of german vehicle mods and when I click on the german vehicle and gun's tab this is what I get
  6. The panzerspahwagen 234 eight wheeled heavy armoured car was the only german armoured vehicle to be powered by a diesel engine{I blame the movie Patton for the belief that the german tanks had diesel engine's,remember the part were Bradley is explaining to Patton about the thin armor on the M-3 half-track he also mention's that the german's used diesel engines while we used gasoline.A definate blunder on the part of the technical advisor}Even with wetstorage the sherman's ammo supply was vulnerable,applique armor was welded to the outside of the hull over the vulnerable area's.In the pacific the marines welded rack's to the side's and filled them with log's,or wooden beam's for even more protection.
  7. The problem with the hetzer was the gun had to be positioned as far to the right as possible therfor the driver,gunner and loader were all lined up in a row on the left side with the loader having to reach across the gun to reach the safety switches and under or behind the gun to reach the majority of the ammunition supply.Also the only mean's of escape for the three of them was the hatch at the rear of the superstructure.The commander was isolated from the rest of the crew by being stationed in the right rear on the other side of the gun.When buttoned up it was virtually blind on the right side.But even with these shortcoming's it was a usefull design.Interestingly enough it was supposed to be formed into panzerjager unit's for the infantry division's to give them better organic anti-tank capabilitiesbut were eventually assigned to independent panzer-jager units and parceled out where ever needed
  8. Ok now I understand thank's alot I wish I had asked this question a long time ago
  9. I've got cmmos and can't figure out how to get the dl mods into it,some of the mod's don't say what ruleset they belong to.I've dl'ed quite a few mod's and don't know where to put them.Thanx before hand for any help
  10. I was in the army back in '74 on tanks and our motto was "Shoot-move and communicate"if you lost any of these attributes you were effectivly out of the action.Sitting in a immobilized tank on a modern battlefield{ie.WWII to present}for any period of time was not conducive to a long lifespan
  11. I read an article in the current PC World magazine obout upgrading and they stated that 256 megs of ram appeared to be the optimal amount,adding more did'nt increase the speed any significant amount.In fact the biggest speed increase was from 128 to 256 a 36% increase anything over that was insignificant...and these were top of the line system's
  12. I bought the PC-Gamer mag that had the demo of battlefield 1942 on it but it would'nt run,I mean literally the disc would'nt run,it would start to run,then stop the cd drive and lock up the system,something I've found hard to do with XP.As for moh I could'nt get the demo to run so...at least I've got the PS-2 version[sorry to reveil that I'm a consoler].But I can run cfs-2 and Panzer Elite run's good{unlike the wingmen,in my opinion the weakest part of the program and the reason I don't play it].
  13. Funny but that's the same way I feel,but of the complete opposite.I find playing cmbb somehow more interesting and replayable than cmbo.I have owned cmbo since Jan and I swear i've played cmbb's demo more than cmbo.I don't know why exactly,maybe it's the increased control you have over the unit's movement and action's.In cmbo you could either move,run or crawl.Or maybe it's the graphic's,I like to highlight a unit hit tab then go all the way to ground level and them zoom-in,you can see realistic grass on the steppe in Citadel and when you move thru it you feel as if your actually parting it as you travel,not like cmbo's colored pool table.All I know is I'm putting the change from my pocket every day in a bottle to get the "real-thing"
  14. I have a PIV 1.5 with 256 megs of ram and a supposedly out of date TnT2 vid card.When I run cmbo I can max tree's,make building's transparent and all the weather variables with no apparent problem's and so far have no issues with the cmbb demo in fact the only game I have'nt been able to get to run without major stuttering is IL-2

  16. Yes, killmore, SU-76 was meant as infantry support, not something you wanted to use in tank vs tank encounters. The SU-85 and SU-100 were tank hunters, while the SU-76, SU/ISU-122, and SU/ISU-152 were primarily infantry support.</font>
  17. Would it be possible to transfer armor model's to cmbo?I have Fading Hopes and find that the only early model german tank's are H39's.Cmbb undoubtably will have early model pzkw III's and should have pzkwII's and pzkw 38/t's in panzer grey,perfect for the battles of France and Greece portrayed in cmbo-Fading Hopes.It would be nice.
