  1. CM:BOTCB - Battle Of The Cold Buffet Now I feel hungry.
  2. Oh, I love the great, fantastic laws of my home country ... telling me what I may see and what not... Ve Jermans do not need to use our own heads for zinking. Zee zinking do zee authorities for us. Well, Hitler did not invade the British Isles - but German political correctness does via CDV. I would like to say that I am in no way connected to the German government, CDV or any other bunch of creeps
  3. Hmm ... 'the original English version' - in Germany again crippled by the guardians of good taste by doing funny things like re-naming the Waffen SS into Waffen Grenadiere? If so, I would rather buy CMBB directly from BTS. Please tell me I may do so although I live in CDV territory...!
  4. Well, I would die for "CM: Bismarck", covering the years between 1864 and 1871. Prussians & Austrians against Denmark (1864), Prussians vs. Austrians (and a bunch of minor German states fighting on Austria's side), and finally Germany under Prussian leadership against France (1870-71). War games featuring Germans always seem to sell well, so why should BTS not make something out of Bismarck's three wars? Prussian Füsiliers with Pickelhaubes, French soldiers with red képis ... Krupp howitzers and Mitrailleuses ... at least, it would be something really new. Greetings, Feldgendarm
  5. Of course! The Feldrührkuchen 38 Ausf.S/Z (Schokolade-Zartbitter). And when Germany ran out of chocolate, it was replaced with the Feldrührkuchen 42/a Ausf.Sr (Steckrübe). Both were not very popular, since doing camo on them proved a bit of a problem. Greetings, Feldgendarm
  6. Err...strange game rules? Sorry, but I don't think I understand what you mean. Since CMBO even in the original version does not display swastikas or other Nazi symbols and no explicit brutality, there has never been a problem about releasing it. But what other strange game rules do I suffer from here? Greetings, Feldgendarm
  7. I'm not completely sure, but I think it might be a flag used by police. The white pattern is exactly shaped like the traditional German police symbol, the Polizeistern or police star. The star itself is still in use on caps, buildings etc. today, bearing the Länder arms in its center. So it might be a good guess that this flag belonged to some police formation. BTW, it might also be a flag used by firefighters since they were part of police as Feuerpolizei during the Third Reich (their fire engines were also painted in police green instead of red then). Greetings, Feldgendarm
  8. Hmm, did I misunderstand something or does this really work for US adresses only? Well, if someone's going to make a couple of "Nazis invade America"-Scenarios, it might prove a useful tool Greetings!
  9. Will armor, especially tanks, in CMBB or any future version of CM have the ability of rolling over "soft" enemy units? It might sound very cruel, but it's at least a common way for tank drivers to destroy infantry in foxholes or light vehicles. Will this effect be simulated? And does anyone else think that it could be a useful feature? Greetings!
  10. What an amazing concept! Whe should boldly go a step farther: Why not making a mod that replaces ALL vehicles with animals? We could call it "Combat Mission - Operation Jungle Book". No doubt, that would do fantastic on the mass market
  11. Thank you for the welcome I'm sorry I did not read the forum more carefully - I'll remember to do so in the future. And of course you are right, horses are not that important. But since CM is so realistic with all the different vehicles and their specific abilities, I'd just think some horses would be nice Greetings, Feldgendarm
  12. First, I would like to introduce myself and say hello to the others posting here in the CM Forum. And now, to my topic: As far as I understood, horses will not appear in CMBB or other future versions of CM. Concerning cavalry, this makes sense as long as no one desperately wants to build a scenario with Polish uhlans, or lancers, attacking German Panzers in 1939. But I think, horses are a must at least for the German army. Even in its best days, a surprisingly large part of the German artillery depended completely on horses to be mobile. And according to my grandfather, who was in a PaK crew on the Eastern Front in '45, virtually all pieces from the 37mm-PaK to the 8.8 were drawn by horses in the last months of the war since tractors were either destroyed, broken beyond repair or simply without fuel. The Wehrmacht was, except some elite formations and the "iron spearhead", never fully motorized. In my opinion, coming CM versions should reflect this. Greetings, Feldgendarm
