  1. I've just posted a hotfix for the v1.03 patch in the Battlefront repository found here:

    http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=314&func=fileinfo&id=3079

Please install the v1.03 patch first prior to applying this hotfix as the hotfix is not all inclusive.

The hotfix will need to be extracted first from the ZIP file and then installed via the installer by double clicking the hotfix EXE installer file.

The hotfix includes the following CTD corrections:

    - fixed a controlled unit movement error (patrat618)

    - fixed a rare submarine movement error when the sub is in Silent mode and passes near hidden enemy Destroyers that may interrupt the movement path (rjh1971)

  2. Hi Chris,

I have to admit I am not sure what that sound might be as I can confirm that there is nothing specific for this in the code and I wonder if it is perhaps something else that is being mistaken for this sound?

For example, there are clicking sounds when you select a unit or if you hover the mouse over the side menu buttons etc.

Other than that I'm not sure what that might be that you are noticing.

  3. In that case there is not much you can do as there will be some phrases from your turn when played with the German localization that will be saved within the save game file that he'll then see on his end when he looks at the situation report.

The only option is to play with English localization on your end so that he sees everything in English when the turn comes back to him... but of course then you see everything in English as well.

  4. Hi Amadeus,

If I've understood correctly, if the campaign is started using the English version of the campaign, then any events from the scripts that have English phrases will show up in the situation reports regardless of the translations used for the localization text file as the localization.txt only changes in game text and not text from the scripts.

If you wanted German only phrases then you would need to localize the entire campaign being played into German and start the game using the German campaign + the German localization.txt file.

    Hope this helps,

    Hubert

  5. Hi Erwin,

    Welcome to the forums :)

I can't speak for any of the other games but the units in Strategic Command there are pre-set categories that units can be upgraded with.

For example, in the Assault on Communism release, Tanks can be upgraded with Heavy Tanks, Anti-Aircraft Defense and Motorization.

Corps can be upgraded with Infantry Warfare, Anti-Aircraft Defense and Motorization etc.

Each category needs to be researched and once a particular level is achieved it can then be applied to units that have not yet been upgraded with the latest levels of research.

    Hope this helps,

    Hubert

  6. Hi Robert,

It's hard for me to say for sure without seeing what you are doing on your end firsthand.

The patch should install just fine if you install to your currently installed AoD folder and I suspect it is something with the way you are moving folders around.

How about trying this in reverse, make a copy of the AoD folder to a new folder and title it v1.02 so that this way the copy is your older version of AoD. Test it to see if you launch from the copied folder that it works as expected and launches the game as v1.02.

Then install the patch to the current AoD folder so that it updates your current folder to v1.03. Then test it to ensure it is installed to v1.03 as expected.

If all else fails, then a full uninstall of AoD and reinstall to the default folders and then install the patch to the defaults and it should work as expected bringing your installation up to v1.03.

    Hope this helps,

    Hubert
