  1. Nip-o-matic Actually, the troops in the graveyard suffered no casualties except for soiling some under-garments. It's the guys stuck wallowing in the wheat field that are getting waxed.... [ June 21, 2003, 12:38 AM: Message edited by: Robohn ]
  2. Does anyone else think it is strange that you "see" a sound contact 300yds away get up and run away?
  3. Nippy apparently, "Has Binoculars" doesn't mean the damn Machine-gun and Gun crews use em. The German tracers haven't given them a good enough clue yet as to where the fu** to shoot    Oh well, knew that side wouldn't be very easy to advance up anyway...just didn't want to drop all my troops in the same area and lose em to a first turn artillery fest. 4. Nippy haven't you noticed virtually every Russian infantry squad has SMGs? Even the platoon leaders have the damn things. Should I complain about gamey K98s? Oh wait, carry all those ya want on second thought.....
  5. Pretty much that is true, 100 FP is the same all around. The thinking is that a casualty is a casualty (soldier too injured to continue fighting). Whether from a shell splinter, a 9mm SMG round, or a .50 cal hit. Yes, a .50 cal hit is more likely to kill a soldier than a 9mm hit, but all CM cares about is whether he is injured enough to be removed from combat. The .50cals and 14.5mm carry the benefits of being able to kill HTs and Light Tanks so I don't feel too bad about some of their other aspects not being modeled precisely.
  6. Yes, the T-34 with 50 German Infantry casualties was impressive, but not the best in the battle. Snarker had a veteran Tank Hunter team take out 2 T-34s within ten seconds of eachother, while being fired at by machineguns!!!!!   AND....the punks survived the battle  ! A draw for me was disappointing considering how I felt the begining of the battle was going... Ahh, good game though. Fascist Maggot. [ June 17, 2003, 08:49 PM: Message edited by: Robohn ]
  7. Shosties4th I got a game on against Nippy anyway...hope you do better than me Robohn [ June 12, 2003, 12:38 AM: Message edited by: Robohn ]
  8. I'm pretty sure MG had issues with being told he had issues acting as triggers. He probably responded like this.... Therapist: You have issues that are acting as triggers for your anger. MG: You mean like the trigger on this? (Pulls out M1911A1 .45) Robohn [ June 06, 2003, 03:42 PM: Message edited by: Robohn ]
  9. Gamey use of guns on ridges? Where the hell are you supposed to put em? I realize the game engine has problems at the moment letting you hit em, but bring some mortars to deal with em. Robohn
  10. Snarker That is pretty bad. I sent the message that my computer was down at least 24 hours before the thing decided to work again. Looking forward to more turns.... Robohn
  11. Snarker My computer is back up and running. Healed itself after two days of loafing about. Time to finish off the rest of Jerries kids.....   Maggot Lover Robohn
  12. Arrrrrggggghhhhhh!   Snarker has found the secret of compelling his pioneers to actually use their satchel charges! Luckily, I conducted a panzer massacre prior to his infantry feeding TNT-pie to my crack Soviet infantry.   Robohn actually, this one is not going too bad for me [ May 28, 2003, 12:52 AM: Message edited by: Robohn ]
  13. Sometimes gun hits disable all the tanks guns as well. I had a T-34/85 take a "gun hit" and none of the guns worked after that. No crew casualties, but not the main, co-ax, or hull mgs fired after that (and it lived another 30mins with lots of chances to fire). Robohn
  14. I got a kick out of Black Max's dialogue That is pretty ****ty luck. My experience is the shreck bastard hitting my T-34 right in the side turret, moving fast, from 150m, first shot. Try the Russians and shrecks will never let you down again. Robohn
  15. Snarker  come  home  ! I  must  have  my  revenge! Robohn
  16. Well, Snarker is well on his way to finishing off my poor Russian force with his evil Grizzly SP. I'm sure the thing will top 100 kills. I can only hope I gave him some surprises the AI wouldn't have. Anyway, I'm looking forward to our next game, where I get angry    Really  Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry
  17. Very nice work, but I do agree that the color is too bright. Much better than I could do though. Robohn
  18. Are you mocking the extreme athleticism of our Ballerinas!!? They are elite troops, the twirling confuses your machine gunners! I will have examine the claims of this "butterfly net" weapon. Robohn
  19. The Red Hoard has been released...will Oberst Snarker be able to contain them? Commisar Robohn
  20. Good luck Snarker. My highly trained virtual minions will make quick work of your anger-mongering pixel-heads. BTW, what pdf rules were you refering to? Robohn
  21. Alright Snarker...e-mail added to my profile! Is it required to talk like a pirate to get a game on? Robohn
  22. So is this the thread where you challenge the die-hard grogs to a PBEM? I've got 1 friend who plays CMBB, but I need more! Robohn
  23. I have found play be e-mail pretty much as simple as e-mailing the file to my friend. You save the file to your PBEM file in the CMBB folder and start the game up. Press join multi-player and load the latest e-mail file. One turn a day is reasonable for people who have lives. It is nice to let your opponent know if you are going to drop below that for some reason (like a 3 day business trip or something). Anyway, my PBEM experience is from playing with people I know. I haven't stepped out into the wideworld of playing PBEMs with people I have not personally met yet.... Robohn
