However, I don't know if it will ever equal the complexity or popularity of CMBO or CMBB... but time will tell... after all.. it's only a very small project for right now...

Très interessant. Still, it looks basically like a Total War Series game. The tactical deepness looks underdeveloped... but you never know. I will have an eye on this.

I would like to see a nice WW I game, but nothing is aroud (1914-18 Great War is crapy). HELP!

    Hi there.

The last Battles were actually fougth by foreigners. They could not go home, while most Germans tried to put on their civilian clothes and get home somehow - many were hanged for corwardness in the last days. In Berlin itself, a lot of Beligium people (SS Wallonie) had the questionable honor of defending the center...

They did not dared to go home with a SS tatoo. Actually, a lot of guys like that get killed by their own people without a trial...

Sorry I don't remember the name of the book and I don't own it. I don't think that PanzerGren were involved just Mot. Infantry. The Opels weren't operated cross country - just mobbed up fleeing Soviet Inf. from Sevastop after the fall of the fortress.

    Greetings to Canada!

You are right. The T-34 has also to be viewed from an operational level. It has a Diesel engine - its range was about 600 km (with drop tanks). The Christie suspension on the wider tracks proved to be superior under conditions where German tanks refused operation.

Especially, with the first snow in 1941 the Germans experienced that the T-34 kept going while their tanks got bogged or freez up. The Germans start to call the tank "Schneekönig" - king of the snow because of its great mobility in winter.

  5. Believe it or not German infantry used also their Opel Blitz to hunt enemy infantry while going full speed and balsting out of every possible spot. Ouf course this was extremely rare (I only remember one incident - after Sevastopol) but the later Opels had a little hatch for an lMG on the right side of the roof...

The rear mounting in the halftracks is ment for a second MG. I'm not shure why there is non, but I think it is for the squads lMG.

Afterall, it might be possible to shoot your weapon from a HT, especially while it is stopped - BUT I can live pretty good with the fact that it is NOT modelled. It is just a game and you can't put everything in...

    Sorry for my English

  6. Hi.

I wonder about modern versions of At rifles. Are there any? Of course there isn't any chance to hammer any MBT with it but maybe lightly amored things like personal carries and stuff...

I remeber a pic of a russian made 20mm (!) sniper rifle wihich is intened to blind MBTs and ever hammers things like a M113. It was possible to be carried by 2 man while put into two parts.

Does a weapon like this make any sense when all this Anti-Tank rockets are issued like popcorn to the troops. Maybe a bit more inexpensive (& ineffective).

I look forward toyour posts (links?)...

    :D

  7. I really like the CM "we go" system. I keep wondering why other developers do not adopt it. It seems that BTF will stick to the WW2 scebario and that's fine. I would also like to play WW1 or even Alexanders battles against the Persians... we will see what the future holds...

By the way, is their any future or current product of WW1 battles worth playing (so I exclude the "Great war", by Jowood)?

    Thanks for your replies...

  8. I had some thoughts about posting my disappointments - I feared it would lead to nothing and it did.

Of course I have only MY limited point of view. And I'm still disappointed. My "small" picture differs a lot of the "big" one you have. I hope you make a lot of money - so that there will be future projects. And I don't give a .... on how people judge my opinon - especially not when they are from Finland. And BFT guy - I keep wondering why you seem to feel your self be personaly insulted when a student is posting his views. And of course again it's just my way...

  9. Now, preorder CMBB and be happy for ever after or shut up.

Thank you, Prinz Eugen. Now I know that I'm not the only stupid one here. What I try to explain is, that if I don't want to have the German version, I CAN'T PRE-ORDER.

But for a PRINZ the German version shouldn't be problem...
