  1. I just spoke with Slapdragon, and I was wondering if anyone would care to have another player. I always wanted something more than just a tactical combat game ( a very good one at that). I always thought it would be nice to have some ways of making new troops and armor and determine the direction at which the campaign should develop. I came across the "Onion Wars" though a link at one of Michael Dorosh posts. I looked it up, I read the rules, and I thought that it was a very cool idea. If any of the side has a free slot for a general (or colonel, or major, or lieutenant, or just what ever) I would very much like to join. Thanks, Tony
  2. I'm with BloodyBucket. I modded pretty much everything I wanted to and I'm happy with the way it looks. [ January 30, 2002, 12:18 AM: Message edited by: Larsen ]
  3. I looked through the threads on the new features that CM:BB will have compared to CM:BO but I didn't see if anyone asked BTS if they are going to let players to join the depleted squads. Here is my question for BTS. Will we have an opportunity to put the squads together if the total number of soldiers in both squads is less or equal to the number of soldiers in the fresh squad of the same type? Will we be able to fortify the depleted squads with crew members of abandoned armor units, halftrucks, guns and mortars?
  4. I really like the idea with including native Russian voices. The only problem is... that about 50% of the language that is used in Russian military are obsceneties (and I'm not exaggerating). Also the grammatical construction are completely wrong but very funny. They produce pearls without any intentions to to so. I really enjoy listening to military personel talking. It's a lot of fun. It's sort of like listening to George W. Bush speaking but with a lot of obscenities.
  5. Somehow the problem got fixed. I'm not sure what really fixed it but after getting the problem I started playing with my monitor resolution and screwed things up to the extend that the screen got blank. Deserate enough I for some reason decided to unplug the monitor from the power outlet and then plugged it back again. Miracle happened. The monitor came back to life and the problem with CMBO went away. I never even thought that "rebooting" the monitor can do any good. I have 17" LCD from SYS. Weird but as my friend says "stranger things happen".
  6. Hi, everyone, something strange started happening today. I have a Pentium4 1.9G machine (no brand) and GeForce2 video card with 64M of memory. Everything was working more or less all right till today. Suddenly when I decided to play a 2000 pts attack vs AI I realized that I cannot see the map for more than about 600m from any point. As I move the camera the map gets cut off. There treets, building and units and then as you move the camera away everything is getting replaced witha green background. Did anyone experience such a problem before? Any ideas as to why this might behappening?
  7. If you want a challenging battle play an attack versus AI. Pick the forces for the AI and yourself manually. I find it very hard to play a 2000 pts attack on a large map with small hills, farmland and moderate tree coverage with the attacker (allies - you) -30% and the defender (axis - AI) having - 1 King Tiger, 1 88mm bunker, 1 75mm bunker, 1 MG wooden bunker, 2 150 mm FO and the rest fill with pzg, HMG and 1 or 2 field/AT guns. You can pick any force for yourself. Don't give any experience advantage to AI. I hope you'll find it interesting to play.
