For that, no-one is demoted in my Cheery Waffle scenario from MG Platoon leader to skivvy, bitch and wiper of people's bottoms.

You're definitely missing something. They are a superb piece of kit. Can I suggest you head to The Scenario Depot and pick up my scenario 'Inferno' which should give you a taste of how to use Wasps.

Here's to Teddy Windsor, absent from the Waffle threads for six months. May somebody key the side of his car.

I think playing a variety of scenarios, different weather, different times of day, different years.
And play against people, not the computer.

Cheers.Originally posted by Michael Dorosh:To Soddball - bolt action K98s remained the standard infantry weapon until 1945; automatics became more prevalent but in standard "line" infantry units I doubt they outnumbered the bolt actions. There are great photos of the German Army marching into Aurich, Germany after the surrender, fully armed - PFs are much in abundance but so are K98s.

So what you're saying is that despite all evidence to the contrary you continue to believe that the Germans were the greatest thing ever?
I can see now why your religious belief is so strong.
I'll be leaving this thread now, since I have no desire to read the deranged rantings of this intellectual pygmy any longer.

Have you tried putting the .exe in the post?
Try changing the extension to a fake one, such as .tnt

Sent, maggot. Send me that Cheery Waffles scenario. This one's coming your way, W&C. </font>Originally posted by PseudoSimonds:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by Soddball:

Because they're Snarkers.Originally posted by Sergei::mad:  I had ordered for new computer parts almost two weeks ago, and finally, having heard or seen nothing of them, called to the store.

"Oh, it looks like our importer doesn't have the Antec AMB case+power anymore.
Would you like to buy a 30 Euro's more expensive model?"
...which I, after considering it over, did, but anyhow: Why The Hell Didn't Those Maggot Bastards E-Mail/Call Me IMMEDIATELY When They Realized They Couldn't Fulfill My Order???
You should have bought a computer from me. My computers rock.
I hate UBB.

The point Mr Duke is making is that Soviet armour production was so far ahead of German armour production (in terms of volume) that a Panther would rarely be facing off against a single T-34. Fighting standard T-34s, you are clearly stacking the odds in your favour. Their 76mm guns cannot penetrate the Panther. Historically, under those circumstances, your lone Panther would probably be overwhelmed by a battalion of infantry and a huge artillery barrage.Originally posted by Earl Grey:@Bigduke6: If you take six T-34/85´s I think it may be rather bad odds. If we´re talking about the standard T-34 type, then the odds are in my favour.
But I managed a while ago a rather impressive number of kills with a Panther A: 3x T-34/85 M44´s, 2x SU-100´s, 4x T-43 M43´s, 2x SU-85´s, 1x T-34/85 M43. I WAS on the defensive though, but only because I couldn´t go into the offensive as 4 times my number in tanks came rushing at me...
I have screenshot made, but I think you won´t believe me even if I sent to you...

Probably coz I iz suffering CM burnout. Started playing again a bit, finishing off some scenarios (Inferno, Forward Recon and Bidberg Heights now all at the Scenario depot and more to follow) but not really playing enough. Now I have the 1.01 executable again I can probably finish off some games.Originally posted by mike_the_wino:Ah, once again Soddy has pierced to the heart of the matter? The bridge in the background is interesting, definitely been blown. There look like two spans, one broken in half and the other in the river.
The soldiers are also all carrying rifles (I think) which suggests that it is early war - weren't automatic weapons more prevalent as the war went on?

The 76mm sounds like an interesting purchase for a small battle. You were able to pick your terrain and you knew you could use it, but what about on a map where it's hillier?
If I'd been setting up for the same battle I'd probably have taken 1 fewer maxim and no 76, and used the points to get 5 DP LMGs. Do you think that's a sensible purchase?

Yeah, yeah, big talk just like Mike Tyson was spouting last week about his opponent. Wasn't it something like "I'm going to gut him like a fish"? Anybody else see how that worked out for Iron Mike this weekend? Seems like I saw a picture of him tangled in the ropes.Originally posted by Dave H:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by 86smopuim:
Can someone make a suitable scenario for a "Smope eviscerates Dave H"
I suspect we could always crank up one of Soddball's cursed "Inferno" scenarios. That sounds like what you're after. How about something with nothing but flamethrowers and assault guns in the fog? Maybe we could include bazookas and panzershrecks, too. You know, something to really showcase our "realistic" tactical skillz!Lotsa elite flame throwers and crack TNT chucking devices? Pretty Please with TNT slathered on top?

So your understanding of WW2 comes from computer games and the bible. Well, I take it all back.Originally posted by waltero:The Russians alone, did not and could not defeat the Germans!
Stop being a renob! And understand that WWII games and there references are historically correct. (for the most part) When they are not accurate it is quickly pointed out and given the proper understanding.
So you go read your Hitler diaries and Reference books and I will continue to watch the history channel and read on this forum as well as play my games.
You come to your understanding and I will know the truth!
There is knowledge on this forum! People like Jersey john and many others who have all the facts.
I have read some of your post in the past, you are like a resounding gong, boring!
And for those of you who do not believe that God was a major factor in the war you are foolish!
Look at the countries that believed God would pull them through.
Do you honestly believe that the RAF could of done what they had done if there was no God?
The Russians whipped the Germans. They crushed them, utterly. They would have beaten the Germans on their own. They had no regard for casualties, they just fought, like maniacs, for 4 years. They had help, significant material help, from Britain and America, but their manpower and their diligence was all their own. They had no god, and they won.
Deal with it.
I feel comfortable knowing that imbeciles like you are in out of the way places like Alaska where you can do no harm. It's only a shame you're entitled to vote.

Yes, it is. Shepherd's Pie is what you mean. From the words "Sheep Herd".
What mods do you do for unit values?

It depends on the map. My huge campaign (75,000 points on an 8km x 4km map) has all the ammo up to maximum. I tend to think FOs are undervalued in ammo terms for the bigger maps.
