Boy I hope she's good looking Chuckles. I was just checking the board before I left work and seen this I am flabergasted esspecially since my Tiger was immobilized in the turn I played this morning before work. But as they say A win is a win is a win" So I'll humbley take it and move out! ------ It's good to be at the top of the food chain.

Hip Hip Horaah1! Chuckles and I have gotten the E-mail straightened out and are back to the battle field. A tie breaker with VERY big hills. I'm waiting for Julie Andrews to show up with that group of brats and start singing  I hate that movie singing thru the Alps while the Nazi's are coming. How damn stupid can you get. ------- It's good to be at the top of the food chain.

Chuckles where are you haven't heard from you in 2 days! We had started the tie breaker but I haven't heard from Chucles since 5/29 It is now 5/31. I sent back the turn that same day a few hours later. Then sent a message yesterday that hasn't been returned. Whats a guy to do??? -------- It's good to be at the top of the food chain.

Well now I have somehow fought to a draw with Chuckles. So we will be getting right to the tie breaker.Which will probably end up making us a a few days late. Now for the AAR.What a nasty fight in the fog at night.I tried to put up a picket across the map and moved out. As it turned out Chuckles sent most of his troops to the VF. I got one of his Churchill's early on with a Panzerfaust. The game really reached atomic proportions the last 5 turns of the game when I attacked the VF from 3 sides. Tanks and armored cars and infantry we're running right bye each other in the fog. There was no tactics really just one big bloody malee. It was pandamonium. At the end I had a PZ4 on one side of the VF and he had a Churcill immobilized on the otherside they couldn't see each other. Fortunatly for me The game ended when it did. I don't think I could have held out another turn or 2. -------- It's good to be at the top of the food chain.

Gunther und Hans Have again been assigned the flank. Never the the town where the French Girlies are. Hans: Gunther what ever is the old man thinking sending us out on a night like this the fog is so think I can't see my shoes. Gunther: Shut up Hans and put out that cigarette! Hans: But it is an american Camel! Gunther: Did you here that !? Hans : Don't worry it's just our Artiliry hitting the other side of the town. Gunther: No Hans it is a Panzer and it's coming straight for US! Hans: You are right! Gunther: Hans get the panzerfaust ready! Hans; ready! Gunther hereit comes straight for us! Hans: No its coming from behind us!!!!!! Hans: KABOOM!! Gunther: You got it Hans it's a "gamey" Cromwell. --------- It's good to be at the top of the food chain.

CM for giveaway after CM2?
Mlapanzer replied to Stalins Organ's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
CM2 is not a better version of CM1. Different theatres of the war covered there. Just because CM2 comes out I will not stop playing CM1. ------ It's good to be at the top of the food chain. -

It seems to me that zooks kill better from the 60-100 m range than closer! Am I wrong in this or have others seen it?

Try keeping your spotters out of the line of fire. The whole arty. spotter routine is kind of abstract anyway.

Ok Ok who signed up as a new guy to make that post? HAHAHAH

As in a real war doing the samething all the time will eventually get you killed. I use my experiance from other and previous games and knowledge of history. Also the military training I had. It's funny one of my main opponants was an Infanrty officer and I was an Armor officer. The training we recieved does show through in how we approach different battle situations.

I've become a big fan of the sniper lately. Along with the afore mentioned uses I like to pair then with a Zook. They can slip throught enemy lines more easily or hide while the enemy infantry moves past them. One time I had a sniper with a very good view of an open area that had to be crossed by the enemy. I let the infanrty squads go by then just slaughtered his Mg's and flamethrower that were following up. That one man held up alot of fire power during the critical turns of the battle. Also I find it pays to buy veteran or better snipers and zooks. They hide and shoot much better.
