  1. I'll beat the grogs and say Aberdeen, Maryland has a great set of tanks and AFV's. That's an Army's weapon proving ground. Doug
  2. Good one R_Leet, you'll have to post a picture when its done!
  3. I think the CRC idea is pretty cool. It would be amazing to ineffect give set of orders for a battle and sit back and watch your troops execute the orders like "real troops". The stumbling block is the AI. Until BTS can come up with something that thinks like a trooper, your idea could not get off the ground. Maybe in CM III or IV. Doug
  4. My experience with US troops facing german grenades has been different. Playing a QB in snow, had 2 squads and MMG facing advancing german infantry. For the entire game the US troops exchanged grenades and fire with the german troops without panicing or fleeing. Maybe it was the effect of the leader. Towards the end of the game I was worried the squad nearest the german advance would break but it hung in there. At the end of the game it had 90% casualties. It was cool watching the grenades being tossed back and forth the whole game.
  5. Here is my experience with minefields. In a scenario setup to test engineers removing minefields, the AP minefields vanished when the engineer unit got within about 10 meters. The engineer took out the AT minefield with a satchel charge after a delay of at least 30 seconds. Interesting. I can't attest to the visibility since I was on the receiving end.
  6. I've been playing scenarios with hedgerows, because I am working on a scenario w/ HR's. I've found the troops act like HR's are open ground. When under fire they flee toward other terrain, even toward enemy fire. For defense/cover HR's don't seem to have much value in CM, IMO. Doug
  7. I agree this is gamey tactic. My thought was to keep some assets hidden until end of game. Then as the last rush of troops on AC's comes down the road, unhide and blast them.
