S3 Graphics ProSavage DDR issues
Beckman replied to Beckman's topic in Combat Mission - Tech Support
Right click desktop Display properties Settings Tab Advanced Button Adapter Tab Chip Type: S3 P4M266 I think when I installed XP, I had a choice of 3 kinds of cards that all looked the same. I was going fast. That all list different flavors of the S3 DDR etc. I think I picked this P4 one. I don't know what the real HW is. Thanks for helping, no setting changes are helping My chipset for this MB is L7VMM, a AMD XP 2000+ chip. I got this to get ready for CMBB thanks again -
S3 Graphics ProSavage DDR issues

Thanks very much for the reply. I do have version 13.93.53.4 The thing that is getting me I have a AMD XP chip. The chipset showing up is the Intel version. I should be running a AMD set of drivers, I think, like the VIA8365. My Windows XP won't seem to allow me to install the VIA8365 driver, the process starts, then is halted. Chip Type says: P4M266, loking that up, that's an Intel P4 chipset. Maybe that little wrinkle does not matter. I will tinker tomorrow with your suggestions in the driver i have. thanks again sb -
I have a new PC with Xp and the vid card is listed above. I patched my CMBO to 1.12 or whatever I the number is. The problem is I loaded the first turn I have played and most of the roofs and units kinda "flash". It's totally unusable. Any suggestions. I will go right now to S3 and see if I can find a better driver. The date on the driver from them is 2-6-2002. Are there known issues with this thing? thanks

Felonious Axis Y?? That's got a nice ring to it. Check your email for a debrief to answer the questions you had. Good little scen, can go either way. This way was the wrong way however lol Good job Allied D!!! [ August 10, 2002, 05:22 PM: Message edited by: Beckman ] -
The "One Hundred Minutes" Tournament

The Row safe guard is a system where you get a scen, but the other sides briefing is takin out. When you open the scen and create the file for the other side, it is ALREADY password protected. Thus, when the files are distributed, the passwords for each side are also sent out. It's great. WOW, Allied major in Hallo. WOW, excellent. I got lucky though, he got his FO killed early on in the battle -

Format: Great format, perfectly suited for my time contraints and talents. (yes I took that line from G man) nice size as well, maybe 5 a scen but good. Fairness: I wish we had the RoW safeguards in place. I would change my starting set-up just because of the risk, albeit slight, of someone peeking. I know no one did but classified is classified Overall Execution: i wish there was at least a deadline date, albeit, can I use that word twice in one post?, a far off one. Taht would at leasat set a tempo. No date is tooo open-ended for moi. But that's just moi. Can this sucker have a sucker? PS I REALLY liked the Meeting battle "Halo". The German briefing scared me from Turn 1 on. OOPS wrong tourney lol -

I just remember drawing 50-50 and 3 wins. I think the record is out there for balance of the scens, that's a HUGE advantage to being last I guess. You know what the results are, I learned it is wise to be last. I am glad to hear you are past turn 3 in the Arch Enemies battle, that was my most recent update. can't say I wish ya good luck ) -

Are we almost done with all games? Are all fairly well along? I usually don't like 2 tourneys at once, are we there yet? I just want to see the final and move on. thanks -
Originally posted by MrSpkr: I can't remember where I read it, but I thought I saw something about extreme fog of war preventing a player from knowing whether an opponent's (nonburning) tank was dead or not. The player is then left with the dilemma as to whether he should fire another round at the 'KO'd?' tank or not. Steve Another Steve with a question. How is the above the players "dilemna"? If 10 seconds into a movie, I get a detailed AFV hit. Now isn't the "dilemna" only for the AI. Now I see it is at 60 seconds and I am plotting, I will be like hmmmm what to shoot at, i he dead or not. THAT decision is cool. But mid-movie I don't see the issue. Am I missing something?

To all involved. I have been away but will be back to my turns. I don't have the 4th game going. What are we doing with that? -

I have 3 of the 4 rolling. Nada from Allied D. I sent a LONG time ago. Are we decided to get another? -
OK I am probably jumping the gun but I don't have scens 4 and 5 yet. Do we have a time table for that? Also, I have sent out 2 setups and not gotten anything back. Home from work late and no turns . Hey ROW 1, GROUP IV lets rock and roll. I second, or third, the comments on the Fire map, simply awesome.
