  1. Darn! I was hoping for, and voted for, the Me-262. Looks like I came up just short. Maybe the next add-on plane possibly?

    I noticed some additional campaigns when I logged on last night. You can set them up but not play them. I started a 1944 Daylight Bombing campaign. Although I couldn't fight it, it was cool to see some of the planes that will be available in the full release.

    Looking forward to this game when it's released. Having a blast with the demo and local games against the computer.

  2. pakfront, SLOW DOWN! It is fun to get 40 tons airborne though. :D Find those bumps in the trails and nail them at full throttle in 4th of 5th gear = hangtime. :eek:

    Moon, didn't know you could switch the TC view to a non-magnified view. I found it very hard to see anything with the default 2.4x (or whatever) zoom view from the TC position. Have to try that tonight. Are those the same keys that switch sight views in the gunner's position?

    Don't have the full game...yet. Purchased yesterday. Hoping for a Friday delivery. Having a blast (literally) with the demo.

  3. Looking for an Nvidia card with performance comparable to the Ti4600. Memory is bad on this card (random colored blocks with 3D games). Doesn't need to be anything super powerful as it's for my old Window ME box that I use to play CM on.

    Don't want an ATI card as I already have one on my Windows XP box and the FSAA in CM is pretty crappy compared to the Ti4600. Plus the other associated problems with CM and ATI cards.

    Looking for something cheap that will get me by until CMX2 is out. $100 USD or less would be nice.

    What should I get that is easy to find?

  4. Anyone know of a fix for this?

    I have all FSAA and AF settings maxed (6xFSAA, 16xAF) and still get a shimmering effect on trees, roofs, buildings, doodads, you name it.

    I had a Geforce Ti4600 that I replaced a few months ago (bad memory) that had some incredibly smooth FSAA in CM compared to what I'm getting now.

    Using the Catalyst 4.3 drivers, Radeon 9800 (non-pro) on Windows XP Pro SP1.

    Any advice/tips/tricks would be appreciated.

  5. I have just become a victim of this bug playing Fruhlingswind as the Germans.

    I lost this scenario in the demo to a human player and wanted to try again against the AI to see how I screwed up.

    Had everything timed perfectly for a coordinated infantry assault under supressing mortar, light artillery and heavy machine gun fire. Then the bug hit and wasted half my mortar spotters rounds off the map edge. At least they didn't come back on me.

    I really hope BFC squashes this bug in the next patch. Arty becomes worthless in the desert or very dry conditions.

    You need to tell Sulla to pull his head out and get it fixed. Guess he is too busy chapping his lips on Eric Young's butt.

    How about posting them to the scenario depot or CMMODS or somefink.

    I know you guys are trying to keep them separate but if your host sucks, time to move on I guess.

    How about asking Matt to give B&T an area on combatmission.com?

  7. Nightcrawler's CMBB sound pack has some good sounds. I would definately download it. I know what Axe2121 is talking about with the hand-to-hand combat sounds, better than the default "slap fight" sounds that come with CMBB. The Russian SMG sounds are VERY good, almost terrifying when you hear them rip up close when playing as the Axis. Makes you REALLY want to keep those Russian SMG units at arms length.

    However, some of the sounds were a bit much for me, especially the explosion sounds.

    In the end I did a "pick-and-choose" from Nightcrawler, Ohjusmies and Oddball, plus some mods of my own. You might want to do the same. Takes some time but the results can be worth it.

    Me, I'm so fond of the mid StuH42 mod (which I NEVER see in the game) I have half an urge to change-over the numbers to make it a mid Stug IIIG (whic is in practically every scenario!)

    As long as you're VERY careful the Stug and StuH mods can mix-and-match a lot of art.
