  1. Great to hear this! But it is not done by repainting them (rubbles), isn´t it?! I think it is necessary to code a new 3D-model that those rubblehouses look like real rubble. Hopefully, they (BTS) will try to do so, it would be really great. Imagine, how those villages would look like, after 5 days of combat, with realistic rubbles - still great, i would say, like your own warmovie!!! Thanks again! Greetings from Germany Jochen
  2. Yeah, maybe, that this was said before, but i wanna thank those guys for their very good work. It´s amazing, how the game looks and sounds better now - great work!!!! Thank you very much!!!!! (i know, that this has nothing to do with mods, but does anybody know, if BTS is planning to make new "rubblemodels"??? Even if it is hard to programm, - it would be great and would look really realistic, so the whole game would win more "feeling"). Greetins from Germany Jochen

  4. Interesting disussion. For a long time now, i avoid to use Panzer IVs. They are really too vulnerable. I think this should be changed. This couldn´t have been in reality, cause the main battel-tank of the germans was still the VI. Any comments?? Greetings from Germany Jochen Schmidt
  5. Ah well, seems to me a discussion is starting. For the problem with LOS, TRPs and mortars, perhaps you should try to do a padlock setup for this troops involved into. But, how is your experience with the "normal" C&C of the AI troops. I have the feeling that it is random in the setup phase and during the battle not correctly used. I think the most difference by the Ai is between tanks and infantry. The tank AI is very, very good. The combination also, but the infantry alone doesn´t work as well as it could, cause there is to less C&C. Looding forward your comments (perhaps Steve, Charles, Madmatt or Kwazydog?????).   7. On the first look, the Germans were the bad boys. In reality the average soldier (on both sides) were poor boys. I´m germans, i like to play both sides. Especially the US-side - i like those Americans (perhaps the stories of the good treatment by american soldiers is the reason for this), cause they have plenty of tanks and other stuff. When playing the german side i´m always frustrated by loosing a tank, cause every loss is another gap in the upcoming battles (so was it reality - and as a german, with a little bit of national feelings - this makes me sad (giggle)).   8. Hallo again, i asked it some weeks before, but nobody was interested in - but, i still think, the AI doesn´t use the C&C in a correct way. I like to make DYO-Scenarios - so, i wanna see how the Ai is using the setup-phase. Often, the troops are so scattered, that there is a distance of 100m or more to the HQ-unit of a platoon. Even during the battle, this distance still exists. I know, that in reality this sometimes could happen, but, as a human - player against the AI i´m still (or better always) in a better position by using C&C. Don´t get me wrong, the Ai plays still fantastic, but sometimes, it could be more better and effectiv if it would use a better C&C tactic. Has somebody else seen this. Will there be a fix for this. Or, how do you think about my critic??? Any answer would be very kind. Greetings from Germany Jochen Schmidt

  10. Hi all, i´m playing a DYO-Operation between US-Airborn and German Wehrmacht. The Germans have (replacement inclusive) 8 tanks. The Operation goes about 9 battles á 15 minutes. All German tanks were knocked out. - At the end of the Operation the Battle report shows at the germans side "55 vehicles lost!". Hm, how is this possible!? I play with FULL FOW. Could anybody give me an answer?? Has anybody the same expirience??? Ahh - i set the parameters for no night combat - but, after the night phase, often the battle report says for example: 5 men lost (1 KIA), 2 vehicles knocked out - always for the american side, wich was not fighting during the night!   11. A DYO-Secenario! House to House Fighting. American Atack (Infanterie & Sherman 105 Tanks). A German HMG 42 in the second level of a Cityhouse, guarded by an infantry-squad in the 1st level. Sherman (the first) drives to the next corner to kill the HMG. My squad in the 1st level misses with their panzerfaust. Sherman is blasting them of the house. After that the sherman drives dirctly in front of the building, raises his gun to the highest possible angle and pounds a 105mm shell in the second floor to my HMG. Distanc - perhaps - 5 m. This example should show, that the AI is not only amaizing by outflanking etc. It is nearly perfect in operational situations. I love this game! Greetings from Germany Jochen
