Translates to:Here in Finland WW2 is covered pretty extensively, spanning all the way until secondary school. Nazi atrocities are covered in detail, but also the brutalities the allies inflicted upon civilians, such as Dresden or the nukes. All in all a pretty balanced view on things."We can go so far up the scales of 'goodness AND of badness' that we are pretty .... balanced, ceteris paribus!

Hello, I'm Tanya and I was wondering if you all knew that today is JonS BIRTHDAY? Well it's extra special because it's his 40th, yes I know, very old isn't he ... I guess you've got that sinking feeling, why didn't I send a gift? It will never reach him in time now ... gosh, maybe you could still do something ....
How about 40,000 views on this thread?
that would make him VERY happy!
Cheers everyone
Tanya
I believe the wine is all long gone now? ;-)

Lets not side track here... there's a war going on.

God dammit Jon, part three is all: "the next 60secs are awfully exciting." instead you post an ode to a road. Terrible terrible human being.
Agreed Bastables. Jon's priorities need to be whacked into place, before he deliver another ode to bird species and tree types ...

The new grass mod will be ace.... all else are just doodads.

sheesh. Michael, you certainly make it a strain on me eyes trying to screen scroll or look for all the succinct comments from BFC... only.

Sacrilege to even ask such a question. Just sacrilege.

Hi Wicky,
I don't think Tripod allows hot linking. At least, all I get are blank pages when I click on your links.
Michael
He's links works for me. Must be your Apple; prolly has a big bite in it ;-)

Indeed. More steak. The reason why we South Africans are Rugby World Champs, but playing like chumps of late. They have done away with steaks in the camp!

Thank you for your answer Schrull. The Demo of CMSF runs fine on my specs.I suggest downloading the latest CMSF Demo with the NATO module and see how that runs for you. CM Normandy is most likely going to perform a bit worse than the CMSF Demo in my estimation, primarily due to more foliage/trees, water effects and possibly more and varied textures.CPU and RAM-wise I believe you should be fine (CM games are only 32-bit). A Radeon Mobility 3650 is a moderate graphics performer for laptops and it should be 'OK' for CM Normandy, but it will most likely not do too well for larger battles (units, map size, etc.) without reducing the model and texture quality settings.
Seems even If I do have to trade off some less sizzle for steak in CM:BN, at least I'll still eat.

Has this been mentioned before, the minimum + recommended hardware requirements for Combat Mission: Battle for Normandy title?
Got a laptop with
--Windows Vista (32 bit)
--2,50 Ghz Intel Core2 Duo (T9300)
--4 Gig RAM
--ATi Mobility Radeon HD 3650
So I should be safe for at least some recommended hardware requirements for the game, or not?
I know swimming in molasses is possible, but will it be practical?

Watch it sonny! I'm a very deep lurker ....... Of course there are still a few mopers who only come here to knock the game because they were disappointed that it wasn't a WW2 game... which I find rather bizarre. As the latest WW2 version is in the offing, I expect that a few more of this kind of person to emerge from the depths of the CMx1 boards, to be here, lurking for news of CM:N, and who knows, may even make an appearance in this very thread (if we're lucky).

And did I attend gamesHey Winecape- How are things in the refereeing world? I have been meaning to ask you for some stories related to the World Cup and if you attended any games.Maradonna takes the cake for his antics & theatrics. I mean, who wears TWO watches as a fashion accessory? Sometimes it was more amusing & entertaining seeing "the great one" juggling the ball on the sidelines then actual play.
I was an "referee analyst" for the local national broadcaster and met coaches, players and referees. Short of, "uhm, yeah, the ref screwed up here", I also had to explain possibly why. The point gets (usually understood) when I, for the umpteemph time, quote Paul Durkin:
Although television replays shows 29 different angles on the field of play, the only angle they do not show is the referee's one. It's time for video spectacles for refs then, not?

What? Can it be true? Be still my heart! It could yet be a trick...

Looking for all scenarios (historical or not) that details Primosole Bridge and surrounds in Sicily, July 1943, especially for CMAK? After a fruitless search, I have ... no fruit.
Kind Regards,

Ce?!! Il Postino should have delivered it a-la-Kevin Costner style: by horse, in saddle, from hand. Looks if he got the wrong goat.
Will re-send another as it should have arrived 2 months ago.

It does indeed sir. Thank you.

I guess BFC has not decided yet on a name for the (initial) Normandy based game, family and modules.
Will the name CM: ETO* cover the whole family? Or is the title Combat Mission: European Theater of Operations not descriptive enough?
*[aka CM: Attack Lobsters]

Yeah, it's called MAD...Oros...hWhat, there is a game other than the forum?
