  1. Thanks for the flame Abbot [grrr]

LOL, I am still uncertain why you think my first comment was a flame. I really got a chuckle out of that story, Putin blaming Bush for a war Putin very likely started himself. I bet Putin is where the invasion orders came from. And If you actually believe that Bush intentionally said "go" to start things off, well then I can get an second chuckle out of that. Damn that evil Bush is likely planning on sleeping under some kids bed tonight ready to jump out and scream "Bo"!

You took a shot across the bow and I returned the favor, no harm done. Actually that was worth a chuckle as well. I considered posting the link this morning myself but I ran out of time before I needed to get my day started. I was pleased when I saw that you had posted it.

  2. Guys just to point out, the latest Catalyst drivers (for ATI cards) have resolved some of the issues within Vista! I can now play CMBB without any slowdown at all. Hell even the fog effects are working! The only problem is the ancient "white text box" - but there is a temporary fix at least for that. So it's not all doom and gloom on the ATI front at least.

    Good info Phil, thanks.

  3. Who's revolting? If it is the elitist bastards against the religio-tards then I'm all for it. If it's the grubby masses with their pickemuptrucks and raggedy overhauls let's squash it with rutabagas and turnips.

*Clique*Clique*Clique* go the hateful posts...all the while pointing the finger at those with whom they disagree. Troll, troll hollers the trolls as they remain elitist and blind to any and all that dare disagree with their malice filled opinions. Blame; blame religion whenever it suits them, as it doesn’t matter if it has anything to do with religion or not as long as they have their hated enemy of religion to blame for their own intolerance. Intolerance towards those who disagree with their opinions, which they use to hold themselves on high, as they spew their antipathy across the Internet. If you don't like my sense of humor then get off the web!

  4. Besides, another 8 years like we've had under George W., and the ability to battle giant scorpions might be more of a life skill, and less of a video game concept...

Yeah, Nobama will give us care bears and flowers and communes and girlymen and nannies oh my!

Giant scorpions would spin-off all kinds of fun sports and hobbies. I for one would enjoy 4-wheeling in the desert (which used to be Minnesota) climbing dunes and blasting giant bugs. Damn, that reminds me Fallout 3 is available for pre-order!

  5. I think another part of it is a growing apprehension at watching NATO extended into Russia's front yard, so to speak, and not being able to do anything about it. They may view this as a nationalistic re-exerting of themselves.

    Michael

Yeah, that's the kicker, weird times. Putin lost his temper and now maybe some of his sting. I wonder if he will raise the pot?

  6. Read a couple of pages of that dreck and that was the only shiny kernel in the whole vat of poo. Hates CMSF...can't talk myself into buying the Marine module. Hence I would never have noticed this little gem.

Thanks for keeping us posted, Abbott

My pleasure Mike . I also plan to pass on the Marine module while I wait for the Normandy game. (I still have an unopened copy of Shock Force, out of the 2 copies I purchased, the first copy I gave away). By then the CMX2 engine should be running pretty good and gain the feel of a normal quality product release by BFC .

  7. The Russians have announced:

    1. The missile cruiser is going back to Sevastopol tonight.

    2. NATO is going to have 18 ships in the region by the next couple of days.

I think everyone pretty much knows that an asset along the lines of a CBG would not be sent into such a confined area so near the strength of full Russian air power. One of the Battlegroup's main survivability assets is sea room. Nato's 18 ships that are there now would have the hell knocked out of some of them if hostilities erupted, something I highly doubt will happen and Russian navel assets would undoubtedly be sunk. I don't think the Russian's would want to deal with Nato's (U.S.) long range bombers and a few surgical air strikes on Russian or Georgian soil which of course would accompany any major hostilities. The only thing this conflict is doing in the U.S. is helping McCain in the polls.
