I think it's important to know this since you might not want to buy a heavy tank if you have wet ground, deep mud, or deep snow. And it's perfectly realistic because your men would know what the weather is like and how much it's rained along with seeing the conditions with their own eyes.

Yes your men would know how much it rained and have a good idea of how wet the ground was. They would also know that they might have a few difficulties if they do not stay to the road network or are not careful with the use and deployment of their equipment. They may even know that the motor pool will not issue replacement equipment for them every time the weather changes.

I am trying to remember the designation of the early Russian Tank that was part of ASL COI. It was a big clunky piece of work that had about 3 main guns, machineguns everywhere, and probably a crew of 50 (joke). I would like to see that and just about as much as possible crammed into CM2.
I hearby promise to upgrade whatever hardware is necessary to be able to play CM2 in its impending maximum glory.

The T-35. It had five turrets. Two 45mm guns mounted in small turrets and a short 76mm infantry howitzer mounted in it's main turret. It also mounted two MG's in small turrets.

From my readings the Panther was considered the finest tank built until the early 1950's the world over.

Congratulations and good luck Matt and Dan.

You people act like the Axis and the Allies had the same things in mind when they built tanks. Most Shermans have three MGs on them for a reason, and its not to make other tanks button. Most German tanks have heavy armor and big guns for a reason, and its not to blow up a bigger area where you think the enemy infantry is hiding.
After hearing complaints like this I start to think that these people have never used bazooka or PIAT teams. a PIAT team can take out a King Tiger easily. The Allied player has to realize that it is highly likely that the Axis players tanks will out gun his. So you have to find another way to deal with them. The airborne squads have anti-tank teams, use them. When you have dealt with the Axis tanks then you can roll up your shermans (which I consider anti-infantry when they have 3 machineguns, one being flexible). Another thing, it sounds to me like people use Allied tanks in the way that Axis tanks should be used. Allied tanks are faster and have a faster turret rotation rate than Axis tanks. Allied tanks are agile, Axis tanks are lumbering.
Most Allied tanks can supress entire platoons with MG fire alone. German tanks have a maximum of 2 MGs, and only bow and coaxials. But the German tanks will eat allied tanks.
Recognize why shermans are more expensive and you will do a lot better with them.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Now that was subtle

Rob,
I do not know which software you use to write code but you may find this one interesting. I used it for a couple years when I was learning code and it’s a pretty good editor. It is also freeware.

Thanks,

There has been three threads on this same subject with your revised estimate in the last few days. Two on this forum and one on the Tech. forum. I would suggest looking back about a week on either or both forums. You will have your answer.
The short version is “It will be done when it is ready” the estimate at this time is maybe two months. It is all discussed by BTS themselves in the threads you will find when you do your search.

Mensch,
I agree with your take on the graphics. I like them very much as well. But I really came here to discuss this grumpy issue of yours.
My suggestions would be to go here http://www.tournamenthouse.com/ sign-up and send me an e-mail and we can arrange a PBEM game. A solid victory or a sound thrashing either way will take your mind off being grumpy for a little while.

I have 10 or 11 PBEM going and usually have 4 to 6 turns waiting for me each morning. Playing into the wee hours every night.

Oops.....
I apologize to all for starting this off. I felt as the "Terms of Use" have been written in such a friendly manner that a friendly reminder would not be out of line. Again my apologies to all.

Oh, come on, Abbott. It's a legitimate topic, and the curse words are to emphasize that he's happy about the game. OK, he could have said it differently but I'm ready to overlook it because it's a legit topic and not an effort to start a flame war or blatantly offend someone by their use. If you were offended than I'm sorry but I think you need to judge this sort of stuff by it's percieved intentions and not the actual words used, that is to say, on a case-by-case basis.
DeanCo--<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>DeanCo,
I agree with you concerning the nature of the post. I would like to point out however the terms of use of this forum. They were written in a friendly manner and my post was meant as a friendly reminder. If it pleases you in the future I will toss in a for you.

I ****in' agree with you, you cool-assed mother****er. Goddamn words aren't offensive by themselves, its how they are used! In this post for instance, this ****ty first paragraph shouldn't offend you in the least (you or anyone else-anyone who IS offended is just some kind of close-minded religious fanatic)-I'm agreeing with every ****in' A thought or idea you have ever had in your crazy, totally awesome, little head!

That has to be the most juvenile post I have seen yet on this forum.

I think your suggestions are very good. I doubt that we will see them but I would enjoy seeing the capture the flag issue dealt with.

Matt said he played it 14 hours straight.

2. No foul language. Standard decency request here. If people ignore this we do have the technology to block any word we want from being posted. Try and keep us from flipping the "censor" switch, will ya? We don't really want to use it.

Many of us from the forum are playing through here Gon. http://tournamenthouse.com Sign up and shoot me a mail if you wish.

There was a previous post on this issue about a week back. It brought up a previous posted thread where BTS stated “It would take several months work on the AI to improve it just a little bit”. They went on to say that TCP/IP has priority as of now.

I myself have been a person who put just as much work into a website for a game (if not more), and never thought for a second of trying to take advantage of people to pad my income. Considering I'm terminally ill with Cystic Fibrosis, I certainly had a much better reason to do this than Matt does.
-------------------------------------------------------
I thought about this argument last night as I went to sleep. I do not understand it. You are terminally ill with Cystic Fibrosis. Sorry life is tough. Always tougher on some then others, that is nature. Because you have a tough break it gives you more rights to money then others, why?

Yes, it is a PBEM ladder.
