You are fricken stoned if you think I would pay 70-80 bucks for CMBB.

The only way I would pay that much for the game would be if Madmatt hand delivers it to my house, and then gives me a foot massage as I install the game.

You emancipated pile of dung! Do you actually give credit to Herr O-butt for reading Moby Dick? You pathetic delusional child. Here I have some candy.... Get in my car.

P.S. The title still sucks ass water.

  3. Wait a second... There is absolutely nothing wrong with the way games are scored in CM.

If in a game you are unable or unwilling to take a flag(s) and it is left neutral then TOO BAD. You lose those points but also so does your opponent.

The REAL solution to this problem is then for every MAP played you have an equal amount of flag points available for EACH map. Then each player in the tourney has the opportunity in each game to capture the same number of points. If a player fails to this then it is his/her fault. Too bad. So sorry. Game over.

There is no need to modify someone's score, and thus elevate their average, because they were too inept to capture the flags but not inept enough to make them neutral.

    Gimme a break.

I told you to call her, you lazy bastard but you had to go and not listen to me. I may not be married but I do know women... Hmm... maybe that's why I am not married.

Hey, how can you blame him? If I was forced into white pajamas every morning and spoon-fed applesauce during my daily morning show of Sesame Street and to top it off have my computer time limited cause if I go over they lock me up in the room with the brights lights and the really soft walls, you'd be pissed too!

I understand. He just wants the freedom to exercise his right to be a complete f**king idiot. What other right could he be looking to use?

it came up a few weeks ago, so are we ever going to have a tourney for those of us who are newer?

or how about a regional tourney in the US? west coast tourney?

is there still interest in a newer (from 'just got the game' to 'ive had it for about 6 months') player tourney OR a US regional tourney? a good old Christmas Break Bash for all of us College students!

Ahhh.. So you were the kid that always got smacked first, and in the face, with one of those super bouncy rubber balls in dodge ball.

    Sorry about breakin' your glasses...

It is thinner than a Priest, has no MG and it needs a longer time to deliver the same overall blast value. It is usually dead before it can do so.

Overall, it is one of these vehicles that people buy to hide it "until the armour is gone", which is a questionable strategy.

As compared to the strategy where you roll them out before all the armor is gone, and they die a firey death?

I pulled a negotiated draw from Fionn in a tournament. I was a very fair fight and bitterly fought. I actually KOed one of his Kitties. ;)

But as for being invincible... I just got my hat handed to me by Jarmo. Granted it was one of those I had all bad luck and he nothing but good luck kind of battles but it does happen.

Happy to report my fight against Shandorf is over.

    My win with a score of 92 - 8!

I believe I used up all the luck in the world... :D

Seriously, Shandorf did only one mistake and that was sticking

around for too long after the fight had been lost. Although,

he could have pulled it off with luck. Even after all his armour

was gone, things hung in balance for a few turns with him

pushing forward with infantry. But did I already mention that all

the luck in the world was mine.

    I'm bad.

Retreating when I should have wouldn't have change the score unfortunately. There were too many flags for you to control.

That battle really sucked and especially those Church VIIs you bought. Fricken 3 of them. Bastard.

Oh well.. Good game. I suppose an ass whoopin' was coming my way with all I was giving out.

So then like your tactics...they are useless.

I convinced Madmatt in the chat room to add some doo-hicky to the game to tell you how damaged the buildings are. You can all now thank me for the little asterisks informing you of your imminent doom.

Also... remember when tanks rarely fired thier main gun at infantry? Well, I got that fixed bitchin to Steve. After they fixed that then all the tanks started shooting smoke instead. You can thank me for that too! Phhhffft!

Blame the computer... it should have auto-surrendered days ago.

I will get another turn out to you tonight.

vanir, i wish i could of been earlier to this party. smile.gif the month of may proved to be a month of a great revelation given to me!

its good to hear that someone else on the ladder sees them a lot too, i thought for awhile there that it must just be the people i play. like i said, i dont mind them either, they just seem to be everyones pick. all this is making me want to lean more and more towards playing/creating more scenarios. dont have very many choices there.

i think of how many mountain troops/sturmgruppes i have ever seen in a scenario i have played: 0%

how many mountain troops, sturmgruppes, fallschrimjagers are in my PBEM games: 99.9%

So what is really your point here? Is it that people mostly pick unhistorical unit configurations, or that they pick rare units too much? Then again who doesn't know this already and who really cares? It is not like you are bestowing on us some insight we all don't already know.

If you are losing to these people then you obviously need to adjust your playing style to counter theirs or you need to play different people.

IMO the units are there to play with. It's a game. You can't tell people that they MUST play only 5% of their games with Mountain troops because this is "more historical". BS. They can play anyway they want. If you don't like it pick up your marbles and go home. It is just that simple.
