  1. Dunno I think they are referring to HE type rounds on the Anti armor think they said 500m on stationary armor. Enhanced optics are available from what I read.

FFV441 is an HE round, useful in a "lobbed" trajectory to 1,000m, which can be fused to either detonate on impact or as an airburst.

FFV502 is an HEDP round with the ability to be set to detonate either on impact or one-tenth of a second afterwards. Effective range is 1,000 m against dispersed soft targets such as infantry in the open, 500 m against stationary targets, and 300 m against moving targets. Minimum range is 15 to 40 m to arm the warhead. Penetration exceeds 150 mm of rolled homogeneous armour (RHA). Ammunition weight is 3.3 kg and muzzle velocity is 230 m/s.[4]

The wiki article has some info on various rounds and such.

Was curious as we have varied rounds on the SMAW.

  2. LOL Runyan99 Didn't he Kepler he said yes.

My film ratings maybe be a bit less then hardcore film fans. I would rate Cross of Iron a solid 8 out of 10 and definitely in the top 25 war films I have seen. Stalingrad is better but Cross of Iron is a excellent movie IMHO. well worth snagging or viewing I remember I paid $70 on VHS in the early 80's as teenager to own it.

IMDB has some info on it as well for those interested.

Kern: Do you believe in God, Sergeant?

Sargeant Steiner: I believe God is a sadist, but probably doesn't even know it.

  3. Dark Blue world is indeed an excellent flick IMHO. The Czech production was very rich in detail lots of good looking air battles and I purchased the DVD quite some time ago and thoroughly enjoyed the film. Another lesser known film I really liked was the English film Two Men Went to War based on the book titled Amateur Commandos about the most unlikely British Commandos attacking Germans in in France and remember an army that can't bite can't fight ;) The book was an enjoyable read as well. 4. Has anyone taken the leap for a SSD hard disk yet?

Today I ordered a Intel X25-M Mainstream SSDSA2MH080G2R5 2.5" 80GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) postville gen 2. From reading a bit on the web the Intel seemed decent and I am looking forward to giving it a whirl in the coming week or two. The price was good, Newegg had it for $225 cdn with free shipping so seemed not to shabby.

My rig had 3 sata II drives (2.2TB) running dual boot Win 7 and XP Pro config. Tips, tricks , user experiences etc appreciated.

Currently my Pc is used for gaming, internet and odd tinkering with some 3d animation stuff.

For those interested I found these resources which seemed good.

Any hardcore tweak guides? I have been googling but not sure if I have the best resource yet.

    Cheers

  5. Hi Gibson Thanks I did catch that post and the associated screenshots but what I was wondering if we had a complete list of the equipment; as an example for Canada are we getting: Leo C2 variant and the Leo 2A6M?, LAV III, LAV TUA, LAV FOO, Coyote Recee, RG-31 Mk3 with Protector M151 RWS, G-Wagen. etc.

Will try search but I figured it is getting close to release there may be some further tidbits providing insight into what the NATO module will fully consist of.
