I've built the non-motorized version, and I'm here to tell you it's a hell of a kit. It has working suspension, great detail for a kit that's made for RC and it's HUGE! If you get the RC version I would recommend getting an aluminum barrel because the plastic one looks a little fragile to me.
  2. I think I see your problem. You must use the Rule-Sets, they don't change how the game plays, they just add the necessary insructions to make the modified graphics work. Just put the Rule-Sets in your CMBB BMP folder and do NOT unzip them. The CMMOS program will do the rest as long as you point it at the BMP folder.

  3. A few posts back someone wondered what it sounded like to be under a mortar attack. Having been mortared a few dozen times in Iraq, I can tell you that you don't hear any whistle or hiss at all. What you hear is the sound of the round launching from the tube, and we estimated most of what was aimed our way was launched from around 3 klicks out. These were Russian made 120mm's and you can imagine how loud the " thump" was to be heard from that far. Needless to say we all got very good at recognizing that sound.

Don't get me wrong, I AM a total mod slut. But sometimes I like to be able to hold my models and...wait, that just doesn't sound right! Sometimes I like to pick up my models, but they always slap me and walk away. Aw hell! You're right virtual modeling is here to stay! :D

  6. 5. Market Garden: This is a topic worthy of a book. For starters, I would agree that the missed opportunity to cut off the German 15th Army just before MG was a big one.

Whether Patton had commanded MG or Monty had, I think MG would have had a much better chance of success if the reports of German armor at Arnhem had been believed and planned for, and if Col. Frost had working radios.
