  1. Hey Tiger , thats a nice mid production Tiger you have there , the wheels are "outstanding" , great defination ....keep up the good work
  2. To the good guys at BTS , i know you are working hard at the moment... i just want to ask if you plan/have the time to include Pz III / IV s and Stug III / IVs with Ostketten/Winterketten tracks in CM2??? ps Thx for CM1......its ruining my social life
  3. I seen a report at MacLedge about 3 weeks before it was released.....took one look at the still.....put it on my Visa bill
  4. Sorry Fionn , i meant to say in an emergency situation that the rpm could be stoked up to that level , so allowing the turret to traverse at that speed.
  5. Sorry Seanacha i dont have ResEdit....so i presume that is the reason why i cant paste. thx
  6. According to H . Doyle who works closely with Mr Jentz the Kingtiger could at the max speed of the engine of 3000rpm rotate its turret 360ø in less than 10 secs. source New Vanguard 1 Kingtiger Heavt Tank 1942-1945
  7. Hi lads , i have an iMac 333mHz with 256 Ram and photoshop 5. I've just tried to add a new cammo scheme to a afv. I've saved it as a PICT resourse file but am unable to paste it into the graphic file concerned> Any ideas /hints / helpfull advice .....Free Bacon and Cabbage dinner going to anyone who can help )) Måkjager
  8. Thxs for your thoughts David and Pzkpfw...i just thought it was a wates of precious ammo that could be used on a lurking M4...as for the range it was less that 200m away.....that AI sure does put one in the eye for ye Måkjager
  9. While playing a 300pt QB of a lone panther against a combined arm force of British troops i noticed that when the Panther was engageing the Bren gun carries it continued to use round after round of AP shot. As far as i am aware the Pz troops were under instruction to use AP against tanks and SPGs, all other targets to be destroyed using HE or mg fire. Any ideas lads ???? ps i just love those lil close up & dirty QBs
  10. Neither can i von Lucke , neither can i ")) To Rattus , thanks for saying clearly what i was thinking/meant to say....was a bit distracted with all that battlefield noise
  11. The Hetzers in the QB i played all fired their MG34s while buttoned up. They have 48 rds of ammo in the game. Historically the Hetzer had a 1200 rd load of 7.92mm ammo.
  12. Hi ntg84 / Pzkpfw 1 , on the foot of your observations i fired up a QB of 400 pts of 3 Hetzers vs Amis Infantry Coy, i had a small farmland map with gentle slopes and light tree cover.Result all 3 Hetzers out of main gun and remote gun ammo by the end of the game. I think the fact because the remote gun carried 50rds in a drum magazine the gun was only used in close self-defence. I targeted the Amis beyond 100m with the mg but they did not fire. When the grunts were less than 100m the Hetzers engaged them no problem. One of the Amis squads broke and ran up to 200m away from one Hetzer which engaged it with both the 75mm and the mg. If you are in close with the enemy try using the Hunt mode as this may be of some help. The remote mgs do work...i even had a Amis platoon HQ which was in between 2 Hetzers and out of their(Hetzers) forward visual arc shot up by both remote mgs. Hope this is of some help...really enjoying this game toooo much , shame i got to go to work tonight Måkjager
  13. Fair play to Lutz for the id of this "ufo" vehicle, i'm sorry if i confused the issue by throwing in the T60/T70 ..but they were the only tanks that i had photos of that looked nearly like it.Thanks to Formerly Babra for taking his time with my email.......and now for another tricky bit according to a good friend of mine he has learned that the first 50 Wespes to see action at Kursk were Panzerjager armed with Pak 40s ..hence the ballistic slope on the Wespe fighting compartment ..rather like the later Marder III Aufsf M on the Pz 38 t chassie....anybody else hear of this before ????
  14. Blue Macs , i think that the photo that you have is of the Sdkfz 139 Marder III 7.62 cmPak 36®, this is based on the czech 38 t chassie and used captured Soviet 76mm A/T guns rechambered to take the Pak 40 75 mm ammo. The tiny turret that you talk about is the limited traverse gun shield that offered poor protection to its crew. As far as i can tell there were 5 versions of the Marder , 3 using the Czech chassie and 2 using the Pz II .
  15. I would say that the second mg goes with the squad of PzGrenadiers when they dismount. The Hanomag had a crew of two , driver and mg gunner for vehicle protection.
  16. Hi lads , well im gonna take a deep breath and wait for all the flak that is about to come my way ( mb ). This is a very interesting photo and as far as i can make out the vehicle consists of the rear fighting compartment of the Wespe and the hull/chassie/running gear and drivers compartment of a combination of the Soviet T60/T70 light tank series and not the Czech 38t chassie. The T60 has 4 road wheel stations and 3 return rollers, but it looks like that this vehicle is using the dish type road wheels found on the T70.It also seems to have lost one of its return rollers which may be due to repositioning or the use of a shortened T60/T70 chassie. The drivers visor is the same as that found on the T60 and if you look at the tracks you will see that they are pointed ( as found on the T60/70) and not at all like those that appeared on the38t chassie which were more square looking.I hope this might throw some light on the subject . ps how do i attach photos to this message ?? in case i have to back up what i have said . ps ps Fionn , what photo of the La Gleize KT are you talking about..where can i find it ??And what about a pint on the Northside If i am right about the above UFO does that make me a Grog.....and what is it ))
  17. Thanks for your pointers David. I did as you suggested but i still cannot play CM.At 1024x768 i quit back to desktop, at 800x600 and640x480 i get stuck on the 3d graphics loading screen. When i "dbl"load CM as described there is only one copy active in the finder menu...no sign of the other .I have my res set to 800x600.. then when i launch it it reverts to 640x480 ( hence the increase in logo size). I know it sounds strange but it does work ( for me anyway)...and im happy enough that i can get to play such a fantastic game Måkjager
  18. I have a 33mhz iMac with 256mgs Ram and 6mgs Vram OS 8.6 and i have CM working .When i first loaded it i got the "loading 3d graphics screen". A lil bit of lateral thinking and a bit of luck helped me out no end. What i did was to "double install it ". Start up the game and get to the loading 3d part. Wait for the ambient sounds. Then press escape. Close the CM windows on the desktop. Reload/install the same install version as before. Dbl click the CM icon. You should now be watching the Battlefront logo....but at twice the size as before. If so then the play game screen should also be twice the size. Click play or chose a game...hey presto ...ITS COMBAT MISSION TIME. The game due to my system is low res but it plays very well, no slow downs....i have snow and rain but no fog but i can live with that.....for now. The only problem i have is that i have to force quit/restart to get out of CM which seems to lock up at that point i.e when im finished playing for the day. Hope this is of some help to all my fellow mac buds. ps i have used this with no problems with any of the updates 1.01 to1.03, MDMP 1 Måkjager
