  1. I think it's up, down, up, down, left, left, right, down.
  2. What was the logic behind giving a readiness bonus for conquering a country anyway? I mean, I can see the morale loss for the opposing side, but if anything, you'd have a readiness decrease due to wear and tear on the units involved. And that unit way on the other side of the map, why does it get a bonus? It wasn't even involved. After all, in the other thread a couple of days ago, you were telling me how bad it was to go on a choo-choo ride.
  3. Er, stalking buffalo in Michigan? Where? Right next to the corn crib?
  4. Easiest fix is to just disallow a UK DOW on USA or a GER DOW on ITALY. Both are so unrealistic as to not be missed. Btw Edwin, have you tried a UK DOW on RUSSIA yet? Might as well beat the Nazis to it.
  5. I was thinking about this too. One advantage for the allies is that it keeps the Germans from knowing where their convoy routes are. Secondly, perhaps an intel advantage allows the Allies to change convoy routes or scheme's more often. Example: Say that the Allies can choose from 3 routes and only change it every 10 turns. This limit is reduced by 2 turns for every level of Intel advantage. Intel Advantage +2 allows them to change the route every 6 turns instead of every 10 turns. Intel Advantage +3 and they can change the route every 4 turns. However, if the Germans have the advantage this turn limit increases. Example: At German Intel Advantage +1 it increases to 12 turns. </font>
  6. Best idea you've had since the glaciers melted. But, in order to complete the festive atmosphere that a Justicar Nut Kicking Olympics would naturally provide, we need a bell at the very top of the scale for his little noggin to do ring tones on.
  7. Pretty sure I had the Italian sub hit the convoy when it was sitting on it's old SC1 spot down by Malta. Maybe I was mistaken. Hubert? My other comment was just a historical note. No navy, no point in putting all the merchant targets in one place to guard them
  8. Think the Italian sub still raids in the Med. btw, UK fleet gone, convoy route would be gone too.
  9. Er, no, I don't think you've quite grasped it yet…
  10. You're correct as far as play balance issues, little early for those. But as far as interface and other issues, this is what you're going to get. So criticism on that score is perfectly ok. We're just looking to help improve the final product here. That's why they have this Forum. Remember though, no criticism without a possible solution please.
  11. We always used to get ours from the chiropracter too. How odd that they always had the good stuff.
  12. Btw, since this would eliminate the Convoy map screen, a neat enhancement might be to turn it into a weather forecast screen instead.
  13. Zoom in/out for main map. Location of units shown on small world navigation map. Blinking for haven't moved yet. Convey routes on main map. Intel add-on and movable routes as discussed elsewhere with Edwin if possible.
  14. Er, bigger monitor won't help. Higher resolution will. A zoom would be nice for those of us with older monitors.
  15. Yes, knit. I regard the Justicrab as a wooly jumper.. something that is a bit scratchy on the skin yet providing a layer of insulation and warmth after good cardiovascular exercise. </font>
  16. Yeah, knew that. Just think linking the display of the convoy routes to Intel would reflect the code breaking games the Brits and Germans played with each other. Obviously, no matter what, you'd know where the ends are. But it gets very dicey to place your subs that close to the ports.
  17. Btw, I don't think you need a MPP cost to vary the route. Would be better and easier for both the player and probably Hubert if the computer just moved it over a couple of tiles based on attacks for you. Thinking about the route being shown on the main map and your Intel idea. Might be kinda neat if you get shown the wrong route based on Intel (-1), no route at all at Intel (-2). Now you'd better invest or have to go bug hunting with those subs, sucker!
  18. Good tweak Edwin. But I really think the Allies would know where their own convoys are running, no matter their lack of intelligence. Just change it to the Allies would now know where the Axis lanes are.
  19. Thanks for the tip Kuni. Boggs was a good guy. Got to meet him on a trip to Florida before he died.
  20. A train ride one way or the other is hard on morale. Any type of long transport is hard on morale because most of it was done in so so conditions, meaning packed like sardines for the most part. </font>
  21. Think it should be theater specific. 25-40% loss for getting sent to the Eastern Front. 25-40% gain for getting sent to France. Ooh la la, cherchez la femmes...
