  1. Hi there, I searched the forum and apparently the old demo scenarios (eg. Last defense, Reisberg, Chance encounter, Valley of Trouble),updated for CMAK, were available at Der Kessel which is now history. If anyone could provide a link to these classics that would be great. I checked scenario depot but could not find them. cheers [ February 16, 2008, 11:51 AM: Message edited by: weta_nz ]
  2. How good is this!, I'm home sick from work and CMBB arrives! sweet! cheers Battlefront P.S I'm in Auckland
  3. lol, well you certainly are cocky, yeah my ass is really hurting, even now! Check your files if you like but I'm pretty sure the QB went the distance and I was still holding onto 1 of 3 victory flags, but i had lost my tanks. ( I really suck with tanks even the german ones ). Anyway I'm a bit too tired and drunk to start a game tonight. I'm pretty busy too, so it might only be one turn a day. I'll send you an email tomorrow sometime if you are stil keen. BTW Game mechanics was meant as a compliment
  4. kiwijoe talks the talk but.. I've played kiwijoe twice! Once in the gold demo where he ran from the battlefield,(screaming like a baby! ), after losing his 105 shermans in Valley of Trouble. I'm not sure of the score because he didn't send me a surrender file The other game was a closely fought 1500 pt ME QB. Which he won with a minor or tactical victory. It was my 3rd PBEM game ever. I'm sure the score was a bit better than 82:18?? but I could be dreamin. I'd say he's a good stick and rudder man who plays to win on points( ie uses the mechanics of the game well eg a Jumbo and a Churchill VIII in our QB, recon vehicle rush ) but probably lacks the finesse of someone like fionn. Not that i've played fionn of course. If kiwijoe is NZ's next fryberg i think we're in trouble. NB This post is merely in response to kiwijoe's extravagant claims of NZ CM god status weta jive talkin

  7. nik I did know exactly how ya feel. You may be right about the New Caledonia/NZ thing but I checked that ordering info pretty carefully. Anyway, maybe if you get the game soon we can start a PBEM or something, both of us will be complete newbies to the guys that have had it for over a couple of weeks!! weta
  8. Hey fullas!! I got the game today (Tuesday), sweet. It was sent on the 21/06 but the address reads Auckland, New Caledonia. hehe Obviously someone at the packing house has no idea where NZ is or something. Anyway maybe you guys have had the same problem and can expect your copy real soon. I'm off to play a quick battle or maybe a scenario or..... later ------------------ "Ka mate, ka mate! Ka ora , ka ora!"("Tis death, tis death, tis life, tis life!") Maori war cry

  18. Hey Crocky howz the game? Do you a) love it really love it c) couldn't play it because your partner said you had to go out for dinner.. nooooo! Say.. what about a Bledisloe cup of CM for us wargaming computer geeks. Or tri-nations if there are some saffers (South Africans) playing the game...hehe, or maybe i should just shut the hell up. ------------------ "Ka mate, ka mate! Ka ora , ka ora!"("Tis death, tis death, tis life, tis life!") Maori war cry
  19. Sweetas ya nana Thats great news, a chance of playing CM and a All Blacks win this weekend...choice! Thanks BTS, I promise no whinging from me if I don't get it before the weekend. Isn't anyone else sick of the amount of whinging on the forum over the last month?? As a kiwi I don't think I've ever experienced anything like it.
  20. I remember these questions coming up a few times and I think; units get tired faster when running in snow. I'm pretty sure ammo load doesn't effect unit speed (hey the games very detailed but thats just pulling at straws ). Not sure if units will move, run slower in snow. Definitely no tank trails. Try the search function to get the official answers. ------------------ "Ka mate, ka mate! Ka ora , ka ora!"("Tis death, tis death, tis life, tis life!") Maori war cry
  21. exactly pacestick! Sorry to not post any replys but Jons seems well informed on the actual specifics. I really enjoyed reading about the personal side of things. thanks go to CM for devloping an interest in a part of our history. One of the great stories I've heard from the desert- was the NZers had erected some dummy trucks etc with canvas, apparently a Stuka came screaming out of the sky and dropped a wooden bomb on it It's great to think that these guys (friend and foe) had a sense of humour in spite of it all.
  22. Whoops, I mean today. Is it that late already...
