  1. It was in the previous demo
  2. Are you sure you weren't taken out by a schreck?. Thought i had had a similar incident to yours but on replay and closer inspection one of those pesky little blighters had crept round my flank and blew my cooker.
  3. The editor is supposedly the exact same one used by BTS to make the demo scenarios, so i can't see any reason why we can't edit them + any other user made maps
  4. I don't know the score on how the number turns are coded into the scenarios/operations. But it would be great if there was an option to switch turns off - i.e play until the scenario ojectives are either won or lost with no limit on the # of turns.
  5. Yep...smoke (but it can also work against you remember) and plenty of covering fire. Always try to get more than one line of fire against a target, it will keep their heads down, especially against dug-in units as seen in VOT.
  6. I think we will certainly see a flood of scenarios being released within a few weeks of the game coming out, when people get their hands on the editor. From what i've read there seems to be quite a few people already drawing up battle plans and doing research on some of the encounters that took place. Bridge and airfield defence and attack would be interesting. I'd like to see massive maps and lots of turns. I want to play engagements that last for days (and nights!!).
  7. Ghost..I'm using the uncertified driver for win2k..driver version 5.03.025.
  8. I have a G400 Max.....running CM at 1600*1400....no problems.
  9. In that particular battle at one point the Aliies had held 3 of the 4 VL's - forest/church/houses. The only one i ever held was 'the ridge'. The US forces 'left' these VL's in an all-out attempt to capture the ridge, which saw heavy, almost hand-to-hand fighting, with the Yanks taking very heavy losses. I'm aware that the ridge is the major victory location, but surely they wouldn't have totally abandoned the areas of control that they had fought so hard to gain in the first place.
  10. Just finished playing the Gold Demo CE mission on the German side. It was a very bloody battle in which heavy casulties were experienced on both sides and the result ended in a draw, Axis 44 Allies 47. I managed to hold the hill while the Yanks took the forest area leading up to the church. My question is this. The US has a Sherman tank within yards of the church VL and failed to take it. The same at the houses by the wheatfield. Allied soldiers with yards of the ? marker. My forces were in no fit state to do anything about it if the Yanks had decided just to move men into the VL's, and so gain victory points. I'm confused...Why didn't they take it?.
