  1. As far as I know it is not going to happen. It has already been discussed before. Do a search and you might find a thread explaining why. Have a nice day! [This message has been edited by przy (edited 06-12-2000).]
  2. Forgive me if I am incorrect on this one. But I thought I read somewhere that Hitler did not put Germany into a full wartime economy (the switching of production from peactime to wartime material) until early 1943. It was not until Albert Speer finally convinced Hitler to do so. So from the start Hitlers arrogence to the fact that the war would not last more than a couple of years killed him from the get go. As well as stunting the developmental growth of the jet, radar, and missles, as well as a long range bomber that would have really helped the situation, feeling there would be no need for this stuff. And by the time they came back to these projects it was too late and the war was pretty much decided. Remember, this is just what I heard so forgive me if some of this I babbled is wrong [This message has been edited by przy (edited 06-12-2000).]
  3. For those of you who were looking forward to the new Squad Leader game coming out from Hasbro, check out the preview at Computer Games Online's website. www.cdmag.com Go to the war section and there is the article. If you ask me it looks like it is not going to be very "historically" accurate, in much any sense of the word at all. Nothing like the boardgame. Kind of funny. 4. I am not a "die hard" wargamer by a long shot, but I personally like SPW@W for the fact that was already stated. I think at this time it is the best game where you can play in any theatre of the war. From the steppes of Russia to Guadalcanal, you can play or make a scenerio. I think that is pretty cool to me. Just my worthless opinion.
  5. I know that it is early, but for curiosity, I was just wondering. Now that the Gold demo is out, when will we be seeing the game at our doorsteps? I know you said a couple of weeks after the demo is released, is this still the case? P.S. Love the Gold Demo, even though I have not played it yet I have no doubts it is great already by reading the posts. Thanks
  6. On the topic of panzerschreck teams sprinting, can machinegun teams run now as well? Sorry if this has been covered before. I am too lazy to use the search this early in the morning here in Minnesota Thanks,
  7. tom w, Here is a link to the Steel Panthers site I was talking about http://www.matrixgames.com/spwaw/whatsnew.asp Go to the forum and check out the topic, "are we there yet" "Administrator Paul Vebber Wrote": ---- Hold your horses! We have 23 hours and 50 odd minutes and will still be ontime! The final production checks, last minute "where the heck is...?" and final test runs take some time. My crystal ball say we are probably talking Afternoon or Early Evening before the download site will open... I know a lot of you are anxious, but assume its going to be a few days before you get it and your blood pressure will stay low ----
  8. I was reading the forum at matrix games for SP-W@W and they made it sound like it would be late afternoon-early evening (possibly eastcoast time-USA?). So it probably will be a few more hours yet
  9. I had heard somewhere that the Soviets lost closer to 25 million? Who knows for sure
  10. I think we are going a little too far when we try to get realistic smells coming from a computer. Some things are best left to the imagination.
  11. I can't wait for CM2, man the East front rules! IMHO
  12. Com'on now boys, take a deep breath and relax.
  13. We can't have everything down to the most minute detail unfortunatly.
  14. Man, that is'nt fair. Always reading about the testers and the scenerios they are "currently playing" while all we have is the beta demo and 3 scenerios. "Darnit, I wanna play too!"
  15. Does it ever end? This keeps getting better and better as we get closer to the blessed release. You guys sure know how to wet our appetites.
  16. Man, can this get any better or what? I am counting down the days. Is humidity and barometric pressure replicated as well?
  17. You are way too smart . I got a headache just reading that message. [This message has been edited by przy (edited 05-02-2000).]
  18. Dead bodies? Cool, I thought there were not going to be dead bodies. Surprise, Surprise!
