1. VJ, I assume you are referring to the Hobo vs. El Griz match-up. El Griz was an alternate who stepped in for Pmet. Currently, Hobo and El Griz are playing Down in the Valley, which will be the only scenario they play in the round.
 2. Stay tuned for the surprise announcement I mentioned a few weeks back. Let's just say it has something to do with prizes.
 3. Dan has finally gotten his latest work posted at Dan's CMBO Site.
 4. More results from the SuperNewbies: Splash (German, 51) and Pfc. Dunsel (French, 49) played to a draw in Mighty Mouse. This allowed Splash to maintain his lead from the first leg of Round 1. So, Splash wins Round 1 with an overall score of 110-90 and advances to Round 2. Congratulations to Splash!
 5. There are some strange sounds coming from CANUCK: The Canadians in Combat Mission.
 6. Vadr continues to do a great job with the official Newbie brackets. Check out the new Alterna Bowl section here.
 7. Mike, The man with the answers is Madmatt ( matt@battlefront.com ).
 8. Vadr continues to do a great job with the official Newbie brackets. Check out the new Alterna Bowl section here.
 9. Quoting the home page here at BFC, "Available for $45." Can you think of another instance when you have gotten so much for so little? 'Nuff said...
 10. Once you do broadband, you never go back!
 11.
quote:
Originally posted by Vader's Jester: This made it to the second page?! Ted is gonna kill us!!! BUMB BABY!!! [ 01-09-2002: Message edited by: Vader's Jester ]

VJ, Yup, I just need to decide who will be given an automatic loss. BUMB?
 12.
quote:
Originally posted by Alan Loke: Uhh..hi...How does a newbie like me join in this Tournie thingy? I must warn though, even the computer AI beats me half the time Thanks! Alan

Alan, As of now, all the tournament slots are filled. If you would like to get on the waiting list, email me ( tedquincey@yahoo.com ) and I'll send you a questionnaire.
 13. Your wish is granted. Go here to find the treasure you seek.
 14.
quote:
Originally posted by Sgt Colon: Was the choice Of "Medium Rare" for a Sydneysider just pure coincidence, given the current situation??

Sgt C., I'm just trying to make you feel welcome.
 15.
quote:
Originally posted by Jeff Gilbert: Congrats Ted !!! I guess I should mention that I had a Grandson [Jayden] born last April and also a new son [Colin] born 21 November. Yes, that's right, my son is YOUNGER than my grandson. Life is good!

Jeff, Thanks, but it was actually Bill's birthday.
 16.
quote:
Originally posted by YankeeDog: ...I'm going to go the the airport naked next time. . .

YD, Hmmm...practical, but a little frightening for the kids.
 17. Zitadelle, Would you like me to send an email to the Loser Pile for you?
 18. Missionman, If you would like the email address in your signature to include a link, just add this: (EMAIL)missionman_ca@yahoo.com(/EMAIL) Make sure you change the "()" marks to "[]" marks. When you do, it will look like this: missionman_ca@yahoo.com
 19.
quote:
Originally posted by YankeeDog: Yep, entertainin' readin' here. Keep 'em comin!! I need something to keep me entertained until the next round!!

YD, If you're looking for entertainment, you should try "Blood & Steel."
 20. Zitadelle, The link led to: "A'nanda Ma'rga Praca'raka Sam'gha -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "A'nanda Ma'rga" is Sanskrit for "Path of Bliss". A'nanda Ma'rga Praca'raka Sam'gha (AMPS for short) is a socio-spiritual movement dedicated to the ideals of "Self-Realization and Service to Humanity". Founded by Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar in Jamalpur, India in 1955, AMPS has branches in over 160 countries of the world." I am guessing this is not a group that would be very impressed with Combat Mission.
 21.
quote:
Originally posted by Ligur: Do you get to play Medium Rare if you are dropped out of the tourney and just challenge someone else who has also lost his first two? =P Same with Down in the Valley?, eh? [ 01-07-2002: Message edited by: Ligur ]

Ligur, Yes for Medium Rare. Down in the Valley is being used as a "special circumstances" scenario. So, it is currently being used as a tie-breaker for one pair of Players. It is also being used in a few instances where people disappeared after a scenario was started.
