I think a Vietnam game would probably lend it's self better to the Myth engine. It shows every member of the squad and it can be used to simulate small groups of infantry or large battles. Oh yeah, I'm 14 and the "Ted" offensive thing is still funny to me. Use some common sense. If you're not sure of something look it up. I don't think they would name a military action after some guy named Edward. Now I'm really worried that I made a spelling mistake. I know this isn't a WW2 movie or even a movie for that matter but it was great. The Tour of Duty TV show. It on on the History Channel in Canada right now and I enjoy a lot. I don't know about tactics for anything although there wasn't a lot of that in Vietnam was there? I also enjoyed Memphis Belle and a movie no one has mentioned call "Mosquito Squadron" about bombing a underground store room that is found to be a prison. I would like to see Vietnam in CM5...you could show whole squads because there would be smaller confrontations and few tanks to keep track of....the only thing would be the amazing landscape designer you would need...but by then a 1ghz Athalon is gonna be really old..so we could simulate the whole world and it would be like one of those online RPG's...sorry....i got carried away there...i just really like this game ------------------ "I'm tired of quotes, tell me what you know" -Mark Twain

I was playing Last Defence as the Allies and had destroyed all of the enemy vehicles but about 1/3 of the infantry remained. I wanted a Hellcat to put up smoke in front of 3 different locations( One location was very important - Battalion HQ pinned down). I told it to fire smoke at the first location(Not near the HQ). All I needed was one round but it fired all three!!!!! GRRRRRR!!! Too bad for my HQ unit!!! Too bad for a .30 cal that was pinned down!!! You really need to be able to choose how many rounds a unit shoud (not smallarms) fire. Especially smoke rounds. Another instance where this could be useful is when you only have a couple of round left and want it to fire one and then use MG's. SHUT UP ABOUT THE FRICKIN' DEMO!!!!! Your just wasting BTS's precious time. I bet the time they spent responding to the constant "When is the demo coming out?" type post delayed the demo at least a day if not more.

Hey BTS, PLease don't let make CM playable over Mplayer.com or Microsoft's 'Zone'!!!!They are slow and only support PC's. Are you going to include any type of miltiplayer software in the final realease. ie: a battlefront.com multiplayer service!!

BTS, Iw as wondering if you could publish the complete "list" after you have finished the beta demo. I think you mentioned that it was too late to put in any major features so it's not as secret as it was before. If you did put the list up it would be cool to see which features are in because of this board. It would also let us see sort of a sneak peak at CM2(WWe could see features that aren't in). I have a PowerMac 6500 with a Voodoo 2 card using 3dfx's generic drivers. Will there be any problems? I will go crazy. I can't be trusted with my rifle when I'm not whizzing along in CM at 30 fps. Hey, I was wondering if there were predefined squads like in CC2(BAR,Rifle,Assault) or will each squad just carry weapons randomly? I know this is a little off topic but I think it would be nice to make a Vietnam game. That would be amazing!! By the time you guys are finished 3 or 4 CM games I'm sure technology will be far enough along to allow this. It would probably be hard but nothing like this has ever been done(As far as I know). Hey I resent that!!! I'm 14 and I'm already a history buff. You may not believe me but I am. My friends are all busy playing the Quake 3 test while I was memorizing armor penetration for a 7.5cm Pak 40!! I'm glad BTS is making a game that some of the slower people won't understand because it is to realistic. One of my friends bought Rainbow 6 and sold it because it was too realistic and he could quite grasp the fact that life is not like Doom games. BTS I also applaud the support you have for game that has not even been realeased yet!!! I tried to find info on CC2 at Microsoft's page and they will hardly even aknowledge the fact that they made a Mac version. Again thanks BTS. And to all you people who will judge by my age and will assume that I don't understand the tactics of WWII I can't wait to play against you when the game is released.
