I assume that currently, CM assigns the highest terrain on any given map the lightest ground texture tile, and the lowest, the darkest one - with all the other elevations inbetween given the coresponding texture tiles. Am I correct in this assumption? To me this is the best method, because in the Public Beta demo, terrain tetxures are hardwired to elevation, so all 3 scenarios have different overall colours to the map. Amiga Users unite! Hey you press print screen and then run Window's paint program - and then press control-V or go to the edit emnu item, and select paste - then you can save as a BMP , but then you need tio compress to jpeg. I recommend ACDSee - best quality Jpegger ever! Based on these comments, I think I'm achieving my goal! My aim is to make the Public Beta Demo look as good as anything you can buy in the shops, wargame or otherwise! CCJ

Yeap it is possible, but it dpends on your AVi software - have a look at some of those online download shareware centres like Tucows and Softseek.com etc I'm trying to make some CM movies, without using a capture card - by directly capturing them frames within the computer, including sound - anyone know how to do this with a TNT2 card? I dl'ed something that would do this, but the archive is corrupt Because I have some awesome movies to show you all! You guys have it all wrong - sure there will be mods out - but reviewers don't give a rat's arse about mods. They judge the game,as it is, when it leaves BTS. You say you are happy with the graphics in the beta demo right? Wouldn't you prefer to be awed by the graphics, rather than being just simply, happy.... Hey if an amatuer like me can improve the look and graphics that much, imagine what a professional artist could do! I say add more icing to the cake! When my Tweaked Textures v2.0 get released, and you still prefer the original beta demo graphics, then I say ship the game now, but if my enhanced graphics, make you feel just a bit more like your there, then that's the goal of good graphics in a wargame like CM! Isn't it about time a hardcore wargame had kickarse graphics and sound?! Its time for a revolution!! I'm sick of crappy graphics in a wargame. I can't name a single wargame in which the graphics and sound matched the gameplay - not even the Close Combat series. On a PC - both the CPU and V-Card share the load of displaying graphics and FX. Old AMD chips don't have a lot of floating point performance, you should upgarde that first - then the card. Well when it becomes photo-real, it'll look like a DVD I prefer hyper-real like high end CG graphics. I can certainly do textures that look hyper -real, but it takes lots of V-ram and lots of my time CoolColJ is my real nick ccj

My friend C.M. CoolWargame sent me a lovely birthday card today from the front - it has a photo of his Stug next to a pleasant French cottage on the front of the card I've scanned it and put in my CM photos page. CCJ

Man you guys are playing with number s- I sure don't analyse like that - I play it the way its meant to be played, by feel - I'm sick of all the old school in-depth number crucning.
