  1. It still seems to me, that the screenshots I see at TGN CM Hq, are all too dark and and overly saturated. AFter comparing Mac and PC RGB values in Photoshop's platform preview option, the Mac is definitely lighter and less saturated than the PC.   2. Me too ALl my interest will be in operations for sure - would be nice to have a random Operation generator PBeM'ing a nice long Operation will be bags of fun! New pic up in the gallery - you can see my new smoke anim, as used as a smoke screen, ok its a patch on the Gold version, but its the best I can do for the Beta demo, ya gotta se ethe anim though! Its got a really cool rolling and boiling effect ALso new red roof tiles, what do you think? Look more Euro to you?   6. I find the Graphics absolutely horrid in West Front, grainey beyond belief (sprite based look), and you need to run 1200x1028+ on a 19+inch monitor to get a decent view area. The interface is shocking, these guys might know how to do a wargame (some might question this), but doing a nice user interface, is definitely not their strong point The system is also just plain gamey. You pretty much have choose which units to move first. Move the transports first to trigger oppurunity fire and do some recon Becuase of the old school system, you have to control every single dang unit everyturn. The battles can take forever to resolve per turn, and forgetting about a unit is a real possiblity. Hey sure you can play larger battles Than CM, but boy I would die with cobwebs on me For me, playing West front is like manual labour, CM is just so much cooler in comparison. CM rocks, 3D rules I like to add, CM gfx are far superior to the Talonsoft series, well maybe not the original Beta Demo GFX, but my Tweaked Textures v2.0 and BTS's gold version graghics look sweet! Which game allows you to see tanks as they are meant to be seen?!   8. Well I've just made my Beta demo version of it!!!!! Check the pics at my site, it looks good animated too!! I used some cool tricks, and I must say it looks damn good for 12 frames - it even looks way better than the original Beta demo textures as a smoke round, although its a bit too black It has the rolling and boiling look off burning oil ANother question, is the flames going to use the same trick? I must say not having to animate will be much easier!   9. You know A lot of the map areas aren't used, Chance encounter and Reisberg for instance, would be fun to to move the abttle area to those unused portions of the map! Soon - very soon Maybe 2 weeks - dunno, keep checking my Gallery, I post new pics everyday, I've just done a red roof tile texture, post some pics tommrrow, I've retweaked my smoke, after seeing the new ones Mine don't look as good as BTS, due to Beta code texture handling, but it still looks good, even better when you see it animated!   12. Icee93 I disagree, polish is what separates a good game from a great. I feel BTS want's to make the chasm so deep that other game companies, find it daunting to follow Pride also comes into it too - its your work, why not put out the best you can do? This is how I feel with my Tweaked Textures V2.0 too. You don't how it is, till you've done it yourself CCj

  14. Dang - I've just done my 4th revision of my smoke But, wow this new smoke gets my 2 thumbs up approval!! I've just put another pic up, replacing yesterday's pic of my Tweaked Textures v2.0 smoke (4th version). Rough, and not finished...so should I just not bother finishing it?   15. Arghh I just spent all 4 hours today redoing the smoke - 4 th time too! Well now need to anymore, caus ethe new smoke looks great - do you guys want the new smoke in TT v2.0 or I'll leave the original Beta Demo one in? I've just replaced that smoke pic with yet another one, same thumbnail different pic ccj
  16. I agree, I love the Hellcat, and that new Tiger! But I'm not sure about the Halftrack - I'll redo that one I think. I'm also redoing the Stug. ccj
  17. I haven't noticed that one, but when your shots veer up 500 m above its intended target - dang you notice it quickly! Must have been drinking too much that gunner ccj
  18. I've replaced the above smoke pic with a better one, damn this smoke is hard to do - its the best I can do given the limitations, smoke really need particles in a 3d game ccj

Yes I have some red tiles coming - although I've touched a few buildings, I haven't really gone full swing into re-doing the buildings yet Treat them as place holders, as I need to do more research on Buildings in France in 1944-45. And boy is it hard to find anything on this I have a few photos, so I'll try and get some ideas togther CCj
  20. Ok - this has most probably been fixed, but have a look at this pic Dang! That shell went up 45 degrees - that's really bad accuracy, ok I thought maybe the gunner was panicked? Well no, this happens quite frequently when the tanks are shooting at any tank on that hill! Stugs or Tigers - they all do it! I've seen a STug do this 45 degree shot into the air, 3 times in a row! Also another thing that bugs me - If I lock onto a unit the view is great - somwhere between one and 2 for tanks, now if I want to pan left or right the dang camer drops off the unit and onto setting 1! I would like to have the camera still be locked onto the unit, while I pan left or right to catch some action CCJ
