  1. You also need only a generic dead Tank Commander for all nationalities.Since they are on thier tanks. No ID is necessary.
  2. Here is an idea how it can work. My first shot at pseudo-code: Assumption:TC=Tank commander Assumption:Wounded commanders button up. 1)If TC is buttonned, go to step 5. 2)If TC is wounded,go to step 5. 3)If TC is healthy,go to step 6. 4)TC is dead, go to step 7. 5)TC is invisible, go to step 1. 6)TC is visible and healthy, go to step 1. 7)TC is visible and slumped. 3. If the commander dies inside the tank after buttoning up after taking injuries while unbuttoned, I should not be aware of his death. I'm talking about a dead exposed commander.
  4. To clarify. If the commander was killed, he ain't buttoning up.If he was injured and could button up, good for him and I shouldn't know. However, if he is dead and bent over on the top of the tank, someone would have seen this and someone might think to attack now.
  5. There's one exception that I think will enhance the game regarding the no dead bodies rule. Dead Tank commanders. Not for the esthetics of seeing the enemy commander hanging from his tank . At least keep him there for a turn before the crew has a chance to haul him in. If the crew is busy, he might just stay there for awhile. Point is, a tank commander is such an important part of the tank crew that his death is vital knowledge. Upon seeing this event, I'm might decide that the time is right for an assault.
  6. Your commander was exposed and the stugg received 2 direct mortar hits 3 seconds apart. After a third near miss mortar explosion, your commander buttuned up. He must be dead. How can an exposed commander survive two direct top hits from a mortar? [This message has been edited by iggi (edited 02-07-2000).]
  7. Knaust, You forgot to mention a very important detail. I had at least three tanks taking fire from you while my tanks were on hills and your stugg was on the low ground. Now I'm not sure which tank you are talking about but clearly your shots are hitting my armor from a less effective angle. Although the high ground helps now that you only have one stugg left, getting there cost me shermans. PS My medics are working full time. PPS Did my mortar get your stugg's commander? 8. We haven't even really seen the beauty of CM's wego engine since the pbem demo has a slight igougo turn based feel to it,(since we take turns sending files back and forth). The ease of wego internet play will give CM a more real time feel to it. I'm just saying that if you like CM now, wait until the internet play is available and you'll really appreciate the speed and realism of the wego engine. 9. The irony is that Hitler wanted a better world, (for his people). He wanted to destroy what he believed evil. However, what empire that has tried to dominate the world has not shed blood? It's human nature but this time it was filmed. Reasons aside, the WW2 German war machine was the most efficient the world had ever know. If the military side was just a bunch of naked savages with spears, I'm sure no one would be interested in wargaming that.
  10. Great game. Knaust it's about time you showed me where you are hiding your Stuggs...while you still have the choice...
  11. rawk... You can look for me as iggi in CM and WW2 online. Man, I was one post shy of 500. John Maragoudakis
