  1. Can English troops, from example, enter as reinforcements when a battle is being fought primarily by US troops. i.e an ahistorical scenario where US troops come to the aid of bogged down British troops at Arnhem.

(I did use the search, but came up with no applicable answers)

Also, how do I notify BTS of a change of address? I did email Steve, but I have not yet received an answer. I assume this is because he is very busy.

  2. I'd trade one of the 88's in Riesberg for two PzIVJ to enter as reinforcements later in the scenario, just for fun smile.gif As it is, I think the 2 88's can too easily take out all of the Shermans relatively quickly, with some luck. To remove one would open up a greater axis of advance for the Amis, but including the Panzers as reinforcements, say around turn 15 would make for a fiery end smile.gif Doesn't make much sense, but oh well, I think it would be fun!

P.s I agree with what you suggest for last defense Doug. I'd also add some bigger artillery, just to see the town go splat smile.gif

  3. You can already get a great deal of the information you are talking about whilst playing a game by selecting a unit and clicking enter. You can get all vehicle stats etc. I find this may even be more convenient than a manual because the information is right there for you in the game, no flipping through pages. smile.gif From I can remember though, they will include some penetration charts and stuff.

  4. First of all, how did you manage to get squads up to great the M-18s in time? Quite an achievement in my view.

I also had a very similar thing happen. I was also playing as the Germans in Last Defense when I took a 3 man MMG pow. About thirty seconds after surrendering, they "liberated" themselves, and made a run for the Platoon HQ (situated about 20 metres behind them). They didn't make it because the squad I moved into watch them mowed them down.

I was happy with this, sneaky buggers trying to pull the wool over my eyes! Anyway, I think that pow's can "revert" in favourable situations, but I'm not sure if they have their weapons or not.

Still funny to watch them surrender and then try and do a runner!

  5. So far the moment I most enjoyed would have to have been watching my bazooka take out a Stug, Tiger, and two HT's within 3 minutes in the small patch of trees by the road in last defense. I was on the edge of my seat, screaming at them to reload quickly. Then I saw the Tiger slowly rotate its turret to them, but it was too late, the Tiger took it in the flank and was abandoned.

  6. I think I've probably played about 12 games in total with a fairly equal distribution over sides and scenarios. As you say, replaying a scenario is going to give you the upper hand over any AI, so I would think my luck has been attributable to this, and perhaps better unit placement than my first game (which I got creamed in by the way!)

I still have trouble keeping my armour alive as Germans in Last Defense though, which is great because it means I play over and over again smile.gif

One thing I loved in Riesberg was watching a Sherman plonk down smoke and reverse out of the firing line when my 88 opened up. A couple of minutes later, he went full speed across the kill zone, right into another one, hehe.
