Some of the things you see if you look close enough are Medal of Honor, Iron Cross. Victoria Cross and Hero of Soviet Union actions. It's pretty amazing sometimes and can be pretty discouraging at times depending on which side of that action you're on.

I just tried it with a SU-85 and a 76 mm anti tank gun hidden in a barn. The SU-85 remains hidden until it shoots then is half way out. The anti tank gun remains hidden even when shooting and doesn't jump out.
I put a Stug and a Panther on a test map with the anti tank gun in a barn. the anti tank gun shot and hit the Stug twice and you couldn't see it. I put the Panther on Hunt command after the anti tank gun shot at the Stug and with the hatch open it didn't see the anti tank gun until it got to about 100 meters.
That's going to make some pretty interesting scenarios...

I bet their ears were ringing after that many hits.

When in the Scenario Author Test mode it would be nice to be able to click a button and see the individual hexes.
Plus having smoke that doesn't always rise up as mentioned above would be great.

I had the same thing happen to me when making the map for the scenario I'm working on now. When changing a contour line like from 30 to 40 and your line isn't straight to begin with and the numbers cover several hexes. When you go back over it and miss one or two you'll get some big pot holes and can be hard to find especially if it's not part of the map you look at a lot. The numbers are small in the editor and I had to use a magnifying glass to go over it to find them all...

I remember when I had a 100MB hard drive and would get a game that was 1MB and think that it was gigantic (yes, I'm that old and have been around computers that long).
And games came on multiple floppy disks... The amount of RAM we have now is more than what the hard drives and RAM combined used to be.

I finished the scenario
the map is really great
I didn't know about this battle, I looked at what happened in real life: big battle.
it turns out that I have on several occasions crossed the battlefield without knowing what had happened
I had my first tank losses in the area of the cemetery as it happened in real life.
It's very easy for the Germans, I think you should add anti-tank guns to rebalance, there were some in 1945
In any case very beautiful, and a vast map allowing the maneuver, I love Thanks for the feedback. I'm working on a few changes now.

i took the scenario out of the drop box for some upgrades and adjustments.Â

Can I grab a copy please?Â
Sure...I plan to upload it to the scenario depot along with the scenario once I get some feedback to see if I need to make any changes.
What you see in the game is the full map.

I am really enjoying looking at 1931 old Polish maps and seeing not much change in Google Earth. I love it!
Where did you get this map? I couldn't find anything like this when I was looking for maps.

Haven't bothered with log4, was ist das?
It's a corduroy bridge that goes over the stream in two places on the far Northeastern side of the map. You don't need it for this battle.

My scenario is ready to be play tested by anyone who is interested. Due to the amount of tanks to keep track of it's basically tank vs tank with the exception of some Soviet dismounted infantry in the village. I have the battle set for an hour an ten minutes but has run shorter than that. Maybe because I've played it umpteen times checking things out...
You don't need the log4 mod as that area isn't in this battle but may be in future scenarios and is nice to look at when looking over the map.
This is my first scenario so it's not too complicated but is a good slug fest with Tigers, King Tigers and T-34/85's. Germans vs Soviet AI.

Anybody out there want to dive into learning Blender?
I tried but something wasn't working right when I tried to save what I was working on. I think I'm almost done with the scenario I'm working on and will try to learn Blender again.

They should have standardized their equipment and gone for a production-line style process, like the US did with their equipment.
True. You could say that most of them were custom made. There was a picture of their assembly line in the World War II magazine sometime ago. Each tank had a ladder going in it indicating that each tank got individual attention and production was very slow. The Soviets and USÂ were strictly assembly line.
They should also have stuck with one version of their halftracks, like the Sd.Kfz. 250. They had so many variations that repairing them must have been a nightmare for the repair depots.

There's worse things you can be addicted to, plus once you buy the game for the amount you play it comes out to only a few pennies per hour.
-
A tank doesn't have to be burning to be destroyed. It received enough damage that it can't be repaired. The game doesn't show parts of the tank flying off like some other games.
Some tanks are knocked out which means in reality it would have been repaired after the battle.

I know that some time ago Steve said he really likes the Eastern Front but I don't remember if either one said that they play these games.

It's a winter scenario so it looks kind of bleak. It's a 4k by 4k map and while all of it won't be in this scenario it leaves room for additional battles as tank battles were occurring all over the place at this time.
It's going to be the tank battle of Lisow based on the book "Tank Battles in East Prussia and Poland 1944-1945: Vilkavishkis, Gumbinnen/Nemmersdorf, Elbing, Wormditt/Frauenburg, Kielce/Lisow by Igor Nebolsin."
The map took about 6 weeks to do as it took a little while to figure out what I was doing, not hard once you figured out what to do. Worked on it every day up to 8 hours some days (made for some interesting dreams at night...).
Now if I can get the pixel tanks and pixeltruppen to do what I want it should be a good game.

Just finished the map a couple of days ago, at least I'm 99% sure. I'll post a screenshot either later today or tomorrow. The map was fairly easy but time consuming. I'm working on getting the forces right and the correct direction of the attacking forces.

The book "The Tanks of Operation Barbarossa: Soviet versus German Armour on the Eastern Front by Boris Kavalerchik"Â (Â https://www.amazon.com/Tanks-Operation-Barbarossa-Soviet-Eastern/dp/1399014293/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1641566389&sr=8-1) is a very good read on the actual quality of the German and Soviet tanks. One aspect of the Soviet tanks that is very rarely mentioned is that quite a few of the people building them never even saw a bicycle before and now they were building tanks!Â
The Soviet engineers continually reduced the amount of parts that went into the T-34 so they wouldn't be that complicated to build. It's been a while since i read it and should read it again but I remember thinking that the T-34 quality wise was a piece of junk compared to the Germans but as Stalin reportedly has said "Quantity has a quality of it's own."

I'm glad you are enjoying it. I made a few changes to it (maybe more than a few...) and will soon be posting an updated version, either Friday or this weekend.
I thought about adding some infantry in but they wouldn't last long and didn't have a big impact on the battle.Â
The next scenario will definitely have infantry.
