  1. Ok, I think I follow... I was interested because the feature lock was a bit of an event back in the CM:BO awaiting days. Like with CM:BB now, I assume, a lot of interesting things were added after that point but they were relatively minor additions and improvements that could be added to good effect. The main thing though, was that it was a definite point in time and space to relate to in CM limbo. Now, how long did we wait last time M.
  2. I think it was created, partly, as a result of a few longish threads on the subject in the olden days, just after the beta demo release. Like many a good subject on this forum it was a case of dozens of different opinions being tossed into the ring, and pretty much everybody walking away from the discussion with new perspectives M.
  3. Come again. This sounds like you are saying that CM:BB has reached "feature lock" stage? Are you just speculating M.
  4. Welcome to the forum Chris! It's short for "After Action Report". Cheers, M
  5. My understanding so far is that they will be portrayed just like in CM:BO. All AT weapons that are organic to a rifle squad are represented the same way as Panzer Fausts, gammon bombs, rifle grenades and satchel charges. AT weapons that are crew served are portrayed like the Bazookas and Panzer Schrecks. Finally, last time I heard the supply of hand grenades in a squad is limited in CM:BB. M.
  6. Bump. The games moves like the spring, erratically, but generally heating up M.
  7. If you have a chance to go a little earlier you could visited the Tankfest at Bovington on the 30th of June. Sounds like a great event and with a bit of luck the Tiger will make a running appearance. I'm trying to get around to arrange a trip there myself Anyone else going? M.
  8. Soddball Though there might have been some (or a lot, Krupp made both) cross breeding going on they were not the same gun. The 128mm Flak was designed in 1936 and the Pak in 1944. It was the 81/1 version of the latter that was intended for mounting in armoured vehicles such as Maus and the Jagdtiger. M.
  9. Throwing bones to the forum is like leaving a carcasses out in the wild. It will be torn apart dissolved into molecules There is no escape... M.
  10. LOL... Mind boggling seems an appropriate term... Impressive is another Phew... I'm off downloading.. M. [ May 13, 2002, 12:32 PM: Message edited by: Mattias ]
  11. I still can't get CMMOS_Misc_RuleSets_v.100.exe down, it shows up now but errors out. Anyone else having this problem? M.
  12. Hmm.. something wrong with the download for the CMMOS main executable? Download can't find "CMMOS_v3.02.ex" <----- -Or is it just fan fanatics overload M.
  13. All three scenarios running, on, approximately, turn 16, 4 and 1. Very, very tricky scenarios M.
  14. Volker, I think you are getting a bit of a reaction because the Maus pretty much devoid of charm and historical interest. It was a ridiculous design with little or no relationship to the strategic situation and demands of German (or indeed any country in the war) in 1945. The players won't buy it because it's too expensive and clumsy and those into history will have one single scenario to play with called "Pretty much pointless defence at Kümmersdorf". It will be interesting to see once, it did exist after all, but after that it will just fade... M.
  15. Where did you pick this up Scipio? M. [ May 11, 2002, 07:59 AM: Message edited by: Mattias ]
  16. lewallen ATR's from the point the become available, all the way to the end of the war. Like you say, Molotov cocktails, different explosive charges and eventually hand thrown hollow charge grenades. But no rocket propelled or recoilless hand held weapons. You will however have quite effective backing from AT guns and tanks... These matter have been discussed at length on this board but so far I have not seen anyone being able to give any real details about the use of lend lease bazookas by Soviet forces. Apparently they got them but it seems unlikely, since we don't hear about them, that they were used in any significant numbers. -- Stalins Organ It was a bit of a rhetorical question on my part, the pros and cons of AT rifles have been discussed quite extensively over the last few years I for one favour the your point 3. The wheel of time had turned away from the ATR's and towards the rocket and RCL hand held AT projectors and any force has a limit to the number of weapons it can deliver, supply and deploy effectively. M.
