  1. Perhaps they're making room in the prison system for "malcontents" that are soon to be rounded up, hastily sentenced and after a month or two in jail moved to the front to sign contracts. Rinse, repeat. Conscript mercenaries with no rights or benefits under the russian military system.
  2. Two clips that are hopefully indicative of how things are on the RU side. The GAZPROM guys look like a motley bunch. Apologies for spamming the thread, if it's too much let me know
  3. Just posting to round out the shots of the Bradleys from yesterday
  4. Wonder if this is true. I would really like to see one working under combat conditions
  5. Obviously I hope that the various indicators we've seen of the poor state of the RU army are true, I think there's still going to be some hard yards in the months to come.
  6. Another view, smoking in the cockpit again Yuri?
  7. Example of some poor conditions. Translation says Kremenskoe, doesn't say when, probably in the past week I suppose.
  8. Just in time for the discussion over the past page or so, today's ISW post goes into detail on what RU units are committed in Ukraine, where they are located and the what shape they're in. TLDR is they're not in great shape after months of relatively fruitless local actions and are going to have a hard time defending against a large mechanized offensive. https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/russian-offensive-campaign-assessment-april-23-2023
  9. Looking at the visible damage, did the barrel collide with another vehicle?
  10. Unfortunate but understandable I suppose
  11. Did we talk about this? Another interesting insight into information peddling. I've seen this person's name a number of times on twitter and read a few of their posts whilst having a look over the fence. The twitter profile claimed she was a Donbass native - if the reports now coming to light are correct, she's a ex-Navy NCO and was one of the internetizens publishing the photo-shopped UKR casualty figures that eventually made it on to Fox News via Carlson.
  12. Noticeable uptick in POW clips on Necro Mancers twitter feed over the past few days https://twitter.com/666_mancer Another clip of UKR troops, guessing it's from the same or similar event as above
  13. Another interesting thread. Wager force generation techniques getting even more draconian
  14. More analysis suggesting heavy losses amongst some of RU's best troops.
  15. Check-mate (note is visegrad so pass the salt)
  16. Long thread covering the action with the T-72 working over the T-shaped trenchline and interviews with 3 russian POWs who where there. Interviews have english subs. I just use chrome to translate the rest of the page to english. (Scroll up the page, I don't know how to post the clips in order). https://twitter.com/666_mancer/status/1646962298064457745
  17. From todays ISW, another example of the russian art of shooting yourself in the foot. Hopefully this treatment will hasten discontent and further loss of influence with central asia.
  18. Some not so pleasant reading from the intel leak (if true)
  19. This is something I've noticed looking at the pro RU accounts over the past months - last year the maps covered large areas with big arrows going here and there and language describing sweeping advances and gains. Now they're reporting on this house or this street having been taken with the same language, its kind of strange. I still don't really understand why RU have chosen this hill to die on, there's how many hundreds of kilometers of front and yet they're bogged down in street fighting in one smallish city. Makes me think that they really don't have the resources anymore for any bigger moves and that they know they're outclassed in the open so they're using the street fighting to try and even out the playing field.
  20. Some go-pro footage from inside Bakhmut of an AGL team providing fire support. Not much in the way of action per se but the audio gives a sense of the intensity of fighting. They double it downstairs towards the end when they hear a GRAD strike. English subs are good.
  21. Don't believe I've seen molotov balloons before.
