  1. More precision, evidence is anecdotal at this stage
  2. Precision. Examples of counter battery work.
  3. Leo 2! spotted (note with tank riders for the CM vehicle expansion when it comes)
  4. I posted something similar on another forum. It is difficult to be patient and stay positive. My thinking currently though is that RU channels have been making a lot of the the 2 KO'd Leo 2's + Bradley's but that seems to be about it... Ergo, this is the only clear defensive success they've had. So what about all the other attacks that we know are going on? The lack of evidence of other glorious victories suggests there probably aren't any.
  5. I'm interested to hear more about the night ops. RU has a deficit in NV capabilities to UKR (assuming they're in NATO gear), that's correct yes? I have no direct experience but have read that night operations are difficult to execute, anyone with knowledge able to comment?
  6. Obviously testing a new grenade in the hatch delivery method. One of the bio-lab projects I bet.
  7. Some footage just south of Bakhmut. Looks like they've just taken a strong point or bunker.
  8. Yeah that was my read of it to. You can hear rounds whizzing around but I don't think there were any grenades coming from the defenders in the trench.
  9. Some of what you say may well be true, but how exactly would UKR have managed to blow up a structure of that size and strength in one go whilst it is well within the russian area of control?
  10. Small trench line attack, at first I wasn't sure whether it was training but there's someone shooting back at them. Vision appears to be from a foreigner. Guys might be new, they seemed a little hesitant. Would it be better to keep someone on the 50's doing over watch? Need more grenades. Hope they're ok. Until this came up, it's been almost 2 weeks since anything has been posted on Butusov's channel.
  11. Yeah it's interesting how many times over the course of the conflict we've heard xyz is going to be a "real game changer". Sure most of the things that got this moniker were to some degree more effective than whatever they replaced but invariably they're in short supply, very expensive and more complex pieces of kit. HIMARS did make a huge difference but I agree that nothing really comes close to what we've seen the done with drones, just about all of which has been developed in country and for a fraction of the cost. Going to be interesting to see how things develop in this space. Drone swarms controlled by a single operator who can peal off a drone at a time to hit a target. Drones that carry kamikaze drones as payload. Fully autonomous might come but I think a human in the chain will help with identifying targets of true value. Going to be a mini arms-race with these things I think.
  12. Especially (if reports are to be believed) because their early warning system is complete junk.
  13. I think this was posted up thread but it's worth re-iterating. If this was, I think it probably was, a psyop then it's done it's job. I don't really think it was an inside job as per the second tweet but having Prig yelling at the management, publicly adds to the increasing internal tension. and
  14. Probably the Spanish Inquisition, because you know, no one expects that.
  15. Interesting. Does make me wonder though, is "drone attack" the new "smoking accident" for crappy old russian infrastructure?
  16. Man she's an ugly aircraft. Reminds me somehow of those freaky critters at the bottom of the ocean. Better they're out of sight
  17. Not what I was hoping when I first saw the clips in this thread - turns out to be a prisoner swap, poster thinks with wagner. It's pretty interesting that prisoner swaps seem to be a thing in this conflict. I'm not really aware of it happening in any other recent conflicts beyond the odd occasion - anyone have an idea why we're seeing them fairly often now? There was an exchange from the Bakhmut direction, 8 officers and 98 sergeants and privates were released
  18. An encouraging report from the Graivoron where our glorious forces have destroyed and driven off the terrorist saboteurs.
  19. I've not seen this before. "This footage released by the 3rd Assault Brigade of Ukraine reportedly shows troops from the 1st Assault Battalion attacking Russian positions near Bakhmut". Translation from the comments 0:33 Move forward for one tree! Common common! 0:47 O *uck! Well! go, go to make "200" ( to kill)! ... 20 metres to the left dugout, well watch out to the left. 20. Real? Having russian refugees displaced inside russia is going to be a real headache for the regime me thinks
  21. Linked on Ilija Ponomarenko's feed - I have no idea what this really is, if it's 'real' or just epic trolling - stay tuned I suppose
  22. More Cyclops strong point footage. UKR repel a pretty half arsed counter attack. What are the slow moving projectiles - RPG rounds?
  23. Indeed. I very much hope this is true, especially the bolded section. Cherevaty stated on May 18 that Ukrainian forces regained the battlefield initiative and are forcing Russian forces to respond to Ukrainian actions, including by transferring Russian Airborne (VDV) elements to Bakhmut’s flanks to defend against the Ukrainian advances.[4] Malyar stated that Russian forces have deployed most of their reserves to the Bakhmut area, very likely to the detriment of other areas of the frontline.[5] ISW recently assessed that the Russian military command is reallocating military assets to the Bakhmut area in order to augment Wagner’s offensive capabilities and to gain a tactical victory ahead of a Ukrainian counteroffensive.
