Thanks for these efforts guys.
Quick question, is the damaged walls on modular buildings mod-able? The independent buildings have much better damaged and rubbed looks but the modular walls still look pretty much the same since CMSF. And the effect is one of the worst looking in the game, especially on urban maps when lots of walls get blown open. They all look the same and it's very weird and boxy looking.

I do recommend playing on 'elite', it provides the most realistic time delays for fire/air support, etc, without the annoyingly realistic spotting (mainly for friendly units) rules in effect.
But still, it seemed you used excellent combined arms tactics. Plus the enemy is basically just coming at you in an old fashion Soviet-style 'echelon' attack. I'd expect similar results in real life actually.

I dont think there is any for all sides.
No chatter is in the game for UAVs yet. They would need their own. Small 'micro' UAVs like the Raven and Zala are controlled locally by their units, while larger UAVs are operated from far away and are assigned call signs just like any aircraft flying in the air space.

hey, good one
nicely upgrading vanillia sounds, thanks for sharing
Thanks! I'll probably redo some of them when I get better static and squelch sounds.

Folder empty according to db?
Someone may have grabbed it. Another copy is in place.

Thanks again Mord.
I only modded the US so far. I'll look at the RUS and UKR when I have time.
I also need to find more source material that is not copyrighted. I'd love to get actual voice clips to completely replace the stock ones entirely one day.

Hmm.
This should be better. Before I linked straight to the folder so it showed the contents.
Grab "IG's Air Support Chatter" in the Repository.

Gents,
My first try at a mod. I have long wanted updated fire support and air support radio chatter and so I took it upon myself to try out a mod. It's nothing too fancy but it does change it up a bit.
Thanks to Mord for a lot of help and putting up with stupid questions!

Must say these mods are superb - I'm enjoying the firework display that is a BMP-3 going boom! Also muzzle flashes are great as are the tracers. In fact the whole package is mint
Absolutely.
I mixed AKDs and waclaw's sound mods for a personal favorite mix. Its basically AKD's sounds plus waclaw's folders for aircraft, background, collapse, engine shutdown, music (which rocks), reload, soldier movement, and voices.
Plus I have Mord's vehicle radio chatter mod, which adds a lot of immersion too. I really like it.
Kieme's has a really good background horizon mod which really makes the map look more 'modern'. I've avoided his HD terrain mods because my computer is old in decrepit though.
The mods really, really, really add to the game.

Has anyone attempted a mod on CAS request chatter? The stuff in the game is technically (although now outdated) correct. But some updated and more realistic chatter would be really cool.

Is there anyone who can do that calm fighter pilot voice?

Hey Phil. One thing we might do to improve HUNT would be to make it not trigger on nearby friendly fire, especially the HUNTing unit's own fire. This would make it possible to use HUNT in conjunction with suppressive fire in MOUT.
Absolutely support this!

Great mod! It really adds to the immersion factor.

That's true. AI Troops mounted in vehicles will automatically acquire AT weapons when they dismount. But the acquire command does not function in the editor.
-
Not possible unless they were hidden under the helmet, and the helmet came off. I haven't played any battles yet so I don't know if CMBS guys lose their helmets. But there are no dedicated textures for wounded/dead dudes, all soldier textures are the same live, wounded or dead.
Mord.
Copy that.

Yep, Rambler here (for CMBN but works on every CMx2 title)
Very cool, thanks!

WIAs with bandages on would look great too.
-
I'm not sure, probably both.

This was actually proposed in the beta world and at this time its a NO GO.
However it may be addressed again when the next module comes around. There are many advocates amongst the beta testers.
-
Really cool. I like the blood. This game is about war after all and the effect is realistic while not being excessive or gory.
Surrender flag is way better too.
-
waclaw,
Your sound files are cool and the music files are really great. Thank you for your hard work!

Roger roger.
Has anyone modded the casualty crosses?
My modding ability is less than zero.

Oh, yeah, I gotchya, I had the moving sound in my head when I typed that. Yeah, the Abrams is the only vehicle that gets its own special idle file, everything else is shared across the different nations.
Mord.
In my opinion, unique sounds like that really add to the game. It would be really cool if each vehicle and aircraft had its own sound.
In WWII titles, how cool would it be to hear that shriek of a Stuka or that unique P-51 engine sound? Same thing for Modern titles with different attack helo and fighter/bomber sounds.
One day!

I would be very surprised if it didn't apply to the AI but that's a question for Chris to answer.
