I couldn't remember or find the posts about blowing up bridges so I just had a little fun trying something. With LD I set everyone up out of the way and sent the Tiger and his stugs right to the bridge and by turn 4 had blown the bridge up. Blowed it up real good. Of course that would not be practical in a real game of LD but it sure was fun.

Von, I have had the same problems with little bitch SS. He resurfaced the 1st time and now has been gone for 2 weeks. I smoked him the 1st game we played and was taking him to school in the 2nd. If someone is gonna be away for a while I would expect at least an email saying they'll be gone. I sent him an email the other day asking for his unconditional surrender...no reply. He is off my list of PBEM players. At least you took your pounding like a man, Von. And I bet you are a better person for it.

I hope this isn't too late into the thread to still get a response to but here is my question regarding saved games. When Peng and I play SP3 via TCP/IP one of us will get bumped off line from time to time. Then non-bumped person saves the game right away then emails it to the other and we are able to continue from the point of the bumping. In the Jack Nicklaus Golf games this is not possible. If someone gets kicked off line you are beat. I know the TCP/IP part of the game will be the last thing we receive so no one might even know the answer yet. Nothing sucks as bad as being midgame and getting kicked off line.....well I guess there are some things worse than getting kicked off....BUT NOT MANY!!! thank you.thank you very much

Seimerst...in a way you are correct but my understanding is that the AI in the final version will follow you orders longer if it not in immediate danger. I believe Fooman knows this and wants more details in how much more it will follow orders before retargeting on its own (if I am giving the Foomeister too much credit here let me know). There are plenty of times I have had a Stug that I target with a 30%+ chance of hitting a Sherman, retarget an infantry squad that can't be NEARLY as much of a threat. And I am talking about good condition beginning of the game Stug here.

Damn, I make a cheap comment to highlight the silliness of smoking and all this happens. I have been follwing it for a couple of days and had decided not to bother to explain myself. But this has turned into a VERY lenghty OT subject. The one dimensional aspect of words on a sceen apparently caused a misunderstanding of what I was saying to the good Capt. I was really just trying to show him the silliness of his smoking at his age. I think I was misinterpreted as encouraging him to smoke. For that I am sorry.

Doomed against me too. You know I saw Goannas name so much on the board that I was afraid to play him (kinda how I have never challenged Fionn). But it looks like I'm gonna be 2-0 vs him aand I don't think he'll be any better after detox.
(Note to Board members..never tell anyone you are going away..all sorts of strange and barbaric **** will be said about you while you're gone and you can't do anything about it)

Capt. I didn't start smoking until I was 32. When I think of all those years of smoking I missed out on it makes me sick. Thank God you didn't make the same mistake as I did. But do yourself a favor boy. Drop those damn menthols and grab yourself the smooth taste of Camel. Menthols will make your lungs bleed.

I bet you I could make it where ever whenever. Vegas would be perfect for US people because the casinos throw so much money at the airlines and make hotels so cheap that it is pretty affordable. I just booked myself for a conference for work that was $457US for airfare and 3 nights at the MGM (only ten times the cost of the game!!!!!!).
I don't know why I have been on such a kick to meet the hammerheads on this board but I am.
And Fionn....we can play our CMMC turns from the casinos.

This may be a silly idea but I'm curious to know if some of the board folks in the Eastern PA., Central/South Jersey, Delaware area would like to get together and grab a few beers. I don't even know how many board members are in that area but it might be fun to put faces to some names and I'm always looking for an excuse to grab a cold one or 20. Now that I have typed this thought I can see how it will play out. Peng and I getting blind drunk and Doug Beman standing us up because he has a date and no one else even responding.

Ray ......you are so wrong dude. I don't care what he may have said this is no place for that kind of hammerhead idiot stuff. I guess you are probably a real tough guy because you talk real tough but you are so out of line that even if BTS doesn't ban you (suspect they won't because they seem to be very kind and forgiving folks, I resepct them for that) the members of this board should snub you forever making getting kicked off the board a moot point.

Still no word from SS Bootlicker..Von as you are in St. Louis that makes you that closest to him (he is somewhere in Fla.). You MUST begin a search and destroy (or rescue and destroy)mission at once. If he is in danger save his sorry ass and bring him back so he can be court marshaled and hung properly.
