Please e-mail a copy of the files "CMMOSLog.txt" and "CMMOS.ini" from your CMMOS install folder to "gordonemolek@poboxes.com" and we'll get things straightened out.Originally posted by ScottyG13:Can somebody please help me, i was running an older version of cmmos n everything was fine, i dl'ed cm-barbarossa to berlin(Full-Game) wen't to Combat Mission HQ web site seen that they had a newer version which handles both beyond overlord and barbarossa to berlin so i dl'ed it and it worked 1-2-3 for beyond overlord, I CANNOT GET IT TO WORK FOR BARBAROSSA TO BERLIN?????? And yes i'm clicking "Barbarossa to Berlin" in the bottom right hand corner, clicking options, set rule tab,and attempting to "add" zip rule files that i have put in a temp folder on my desktop(renamed it Barbarossa Rule) so i would know exactly where i put the rule zip files. Everytime i click on 1 it gives me an "error message" whether i double click on the file or just add the zip file and then click open??? i get error messages either way??? I even uninstalled then reinstalled thinking that may help but same problem??? Can somebody please help me, i am following the instructions step by step in the read me file in the cmmos directory and have followed the step by step instructions as well by some of the vets here on the message forums so i know that i'm not installing wrong??? Can somebody please help remedy this for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RGL12 hits an overhead smash ...
This is for the category of mods covering the Russian infantry and vehicle crew uniforms.
So, Ekipirovka could also apply.

White Phosphorus lobs one into the back of the court, will RGL12 volley?
Gordon
-
RGL12,
Ok, so "Pekhota forma"? None of that modifier after the object stuff?
Thanks,

Ok, now I need to know the Russian for "Infantry" and/or "Infantry Uniforms" for CMMOS.
Thanks,
Gordon

Ok, you know the drill.
I need a title for the CMMOS "Russian Uniforms" rule-set.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to these little language lessons in the past.

MrNoobie,
That error usually occurs when there is a disconnect between the CMMOS rule (configuration files for the icon that CMMOS displays) and the CMMOS configuration files that define the different groups of BMPs. These sorts of "bugs" are usually found in CMMOS/mod testing, but sometimes slip through. Which versions of CMMOS, and Juju's small arms mod do you have?
Also, if you can e-mail me (gordonemolek@poboxes.com) a copy of the file "CMMOSLog.txt" from your CMMOS install folder after you've encountered the error in CMMOS and then exited CMMOS, it will help me isolate the problem.
Thanks,
Gordon

Thanks for the camo references, I must have missed the update.

Lou2000,
Very cool site, I've bookmarked it.
Unfortunately, Uncle Frost has already been rejected.
So, we have "Zimnee bezmolvie", going three times ...

The rule-set in question is strictly for Winter terrain mods, so no Valenki. There are other rule-sets dealing with uniforms.
Gordon

Ok,
So now "Zimnee bezmolvie" has moved to the top of the bidding. Going once, going twice ...

Ok, to clarify what we're looking for, in CMMOS for CMBO we have a category of mods called "Winter Wonderland", which covers the various winter terrain mods that are available. What I'm looking for is a phrase to use as the name of the comparable category of mods for CMMOS for CMBB.
"Matushka zima" sounds like a possiblity. My initial reference to "General Winter" was that I thought there was a common reference to Winter being one of the Soviet's biggest advantages.
So, do we have any suggestions better than "Matushka zima" or "Sobachiy Kholod"?
Thanks very much,
Gordon

General in Russian is Генерал, General (with a hard g). Winter is Зима, Zima; Frost is Мороз, Moroz; Mud is Грязь, Gryaz'. My dictionaries don;t show any actual collocations such as "General Mud", though.Originally posted by John D Salt:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by Gordon:
Wasn't there a common phrase in Russian that referred to "General Winter" as their most important commander? Or was it his brother "General Mud"?
If not that, I need a good Russian phrase that evokes Winter for use with CMMOS.
A title I rather care for would be Собачий Холод, Sobachiy Kholod, translated roughly as "The bloody (lit. "bitching") cold", which was the title of a humorous short story by Ilf' and Petrov written before or during the Great Patriotic war.
All the best,
John.</font>

Would a *bump* by any other name serve so well?

Canon,
Yes, the KV-1S looks realistic and distinctive from your German style, so I would recommend you continue in that style for the Russians.
JMO, of course.

Canon,
Love the whitewash effect, but personally, I'd prefer if you could come up with something different for the Soviets so that there's more distinction between Axis and Allied vehicles.

Gautrek,
You're really getting the dirty/dusty effect down good. You make an old man proud.
bab,
Just curious, what made you mad about "the original camo of Hungarian vehicles"? This appears to be the stock game graphics with dirt added.

Ok, first question, and this may seem obvious, but I've had several people fall prey to this ...Originally posted by Cmdr DeadMeat:Yea I know there is a CMMOS thread but it didn't help. The problem is, that I can't get the winter camoflauge work.
I downloaded the zips to C:\CMBB\CMMOS Mods\ and CMMOS is installed to C:\CMBB\CMMOS\-folder. Then I started CMMOS-program and installed rule-sets which worked fine and installed mods and they are in mods directory shown.
Only thing I don't understand is way to get these mods work in the game. I pressed Apply with Whitewashed and started CM:BB. Nothing happened.
I understanded after all that you apply the mod with starting CM:BB and when the game has start pressing Alt+Tab and Applying the whitewash, saving the battle, loading the battle and that's it? Still doesn't work.
Any ideas? I am dieing to get winter camoflauge to CM:BB.
Thanks for answers!
Does the game you are playing have ground snow? If you applied the whitewashed mods for the grey German vehicles is the date of the game correct for grey German vehicles to be used?
If these aren't the problems, please run CMMOS, apply the winter camouflage option as before and then exit CMMOS and e-mail me (gordonemolek@poboxes.com) a copy of the files "CMMOSLog.txt" and "CMMOS.ini" from your CMMOS install folder and I'll take a look.
Thanks,

Sorry, must have missed this the first time. It's in progress, but there's a lot to be done.

Unfortunately, there are no current plan to issue those vehicles in the whitewash scheme due (as I state in the documentation) their high contrast camouflage and/or zimmerit). The combination of those 2 factors makes it difficult to impossible to apply the whitewash technique I used on the other vehicles.
I'm sure that eventually one of the "young turk" modders will get to them.

Nope, CMBB handles the time-specific textures automatically.Originally posted by Apache:On a similar front - I suppose CMBB must automatically select the yellow Axis vehicles over the grey once the time is right so to speak. Once you have downloaded the whitewashed versions will it also select the w/w yellows over they grey in the same manner or will you have to use CMMOS to apply the correct mod?

Your (CMMOS) ship has come in!

That's right, a new version of CMMOS and a boat load of mods have just landed at CH:HQ
There's ton's of stuff, covering a very diverse set of mods, so be sure to check all the different sub-sections. There's even a few updated and new CMBO German vehicle mods.
Also, an important note: Due to circumstances in real-life I have to offer this release of CMMOS "AS-IS", and can offer no support for it. Hopefully, anyone who has any issues with CMMOS will be able to find help from the many "old hands" that can be found on this forum. I regret this situation, but I have to put the needs of my family before the needs of my hobby. I wish the users of CMMOS, and the modders who create CMMOS compatible mods the best of luck and enjoyment from CMMOS.
