  1. I'm for the marching every unit forward idea .

  3. It's an intriguing idea. What I would do is allow part of the line to be beaten. You are defending in trees yes? And of course you have a TRP on them? Let the 1/2 squads come and when they are over-running your position, shell it & counter. Your guys in cover don't get hurt as much as his and with him being 1/2 squads the morale hit will be even bigger. Then he will be recovering and you can defeat him in detail. Even any of your survivors should be able to bring enough FP to bear to break enough of his squads so your countering reserve can mop up the rest. It will take his split squads so long to be useable that you can get the drop on them. And if a counter is not possible, give up that part of the line and defend around it. Unless all the flags are in one point you can afford to lose 1 or 2 as long as you have inflicted enough casualties on him. Anyway - that's my .0025 of a €.
  4. I put "Lindsay Lohan lesbian porn" into Google but it somehow turned out as "zany man cuts off his willy." I reckon me keyboard batteries be running low. </font>
  5. I refer people to this earlier post: And to John D Salts scholarly answer.
  6. It's that my opponent stopped my recce use of it with a gamey elastic band and a big square of flypaper.
  7. I think at the ranges a shotmachinegun would be effective, the prone crew would be too exposed to grenades etc. Also, the round would have no penetrative power so would not be able to shoot through stuff they could be shot through. As soon as the enemy learn that all shotMG's become useless.

  9. Folbec, a fair point. But note, he said 1-1 visually represented rather than individually controlled. I think it'll add to gameplay massively. I've moved into trees where I've dropped arty & found them empty - unless I managed to kill the whole squad which is highly unlikely. Where in reality they would be full of casualties. Therefore critical information which I should have is missing. This will hopefully solve that.
  10. I dunno? Why did you? You will observe that the standard RTFM response was followed by an in depth answer to what I thought your question was. To answer what you question IS: a) RTFM In the TCP/IP game, in an orders phase, save the game to a file using the save button. Click on the map if this is not visable. Then use that file as your starting point.
  11. It looks a lot better on my PC. The JPG compression doesn't help but TBH the BMP su><0red too. Don't know what to do about the really.
  12. a) RTFM When in the orders phase, click the "Save" button. It will prompt for a file name. Enter one & save. The game is now saved under the "Start Game" button from the initial menu. Click that and you will see the file name you chose as a clickable option. So click it and you will get options on how to start the game. Select TCP/IP and you will get an IP. Have your friend start CMBB & look for your IP - basically go through the normal TCP/IP process from then on. voila.
  13. Well, he was the only one buttoned, but that was luck not skill. I moved them all because you never know with CM, & they were all close enough to suffer from a lucky hit. I think it's definately the way to go though, leave unbuttoned & shoot back.
  14. Steve - will the game be available for download or will it be CD/DVD only? My ideal would be d/l with a disk available to downloaders at a reduced price with a full manual etc. Something that allows this monkey to play straight away but still eventually have a disk, case & manual.
  15. Really? I had no idea. I knew about the muzzle break though. Obviously.
  16. If state is going to be passed from one battle to the next then hopefully there will be a troop import/export tool. That will help a great deal with any community developed meta campaign.
  17. Why has a British Staghound got a star on it? Or have I just exposed myself to (more) ridicule?
  18. Is this because BFC were pushed for disk space or is it an error? I want 1.04! And can you fix the Allied arty price while you're there? Actually, after reading the bones thread all I want is X2 now.
  19. Steve - any news on the biggie? What is your approach to The Borg?
  20. Well, I tried to dash the M10's for cover. I buttoned them to make sure the TC wasn't taken out... Or at least I thought I had. I always thought if you selected them all from the platoon leader & told him to change his state from buttoned to unbuttoned or vice versa, the rest of the platoon took their lead from him. Turns out, it's just a toggle. Therefore the ones which I tried to button became unbuttoned. I'm quite glad they returned quite a lot of fire: Not a conclusive test at all but it seems they put him off: I think he was supposed to strafe but apart from engine sounds a few turns later, turn 78 Andreas - well..alright it *was* our match - how did you guess, he didn't have any more impact on the game. So - it seems the best thing to do is move & shoot. Obviously the next time might be different but it's worth a go. I seemed to get very lucky in this game.
  21. I can't wait. Not much more to add - everyones already gone into what I'd like. But for the love of god be quick.
  22. How the hell did I miss this thread? Why isn't "Bones within?" added to the title? Steve - good news all round. As long as QB's can still be played I'll be happy. Will there be the ability to play community created campaigns? Even without a TOE editor it would be brilliant.
