I already emailed them to look into that. Our link is correct but perhaps their mirrors have not yet all been updated.

It's been a while but I don't think that the old demo is leaving any registry entries. Simply delete the old files, and install the new demo normally.
-
Perhaps they need time to update their mirror files. Have you tried another mirror? The link from our page to them is correct.

Keep in mind that the Module needs to work with any version of CMSF out there, including retail versions that are not published by us etc. This means that we need to take extra care when creating and testing the installers. To make the wait easier over the weekend we have just released the v1.20 demo, though

You answered your own question then I guess? The list is not complete.
"Features" listed include mainly new stuff people can *do* in the game. We're not listing visual changes there (but they are listed in the full Readme).
-
PS. The first demo mirror will be up in a sec...

Until some mirrors are up later today our poor server will probably get hammered, so slow-ish download speeds are to be expected for the time being, sorry.

You never have to re-license when you patch, so you don't need to be online (although, even if you had to relicense you don't need online access on the PC where the game is installed, you can use the off-line procedure).

My view, from the outside, is that BFC singed with Paradox because CMSF had taken so long they had to get some money in.
Heh, your view is wrong. Which it often is from the outside
We signed a deal with Paradox because they made us an offer we could not refuse. We decided to do it knowing full well what the implications were, including the inevitable retail budget sell-offs that occur anytime between 1-3 months after the game is out. It's part of the whole plan. At first it was a good plan to make money quickly, now it's what retail has to do because people are expecting it.
Since our Modular approach to the series was already fully developed and coded at the time we knew that biting the bullet on $5 budget bin sell-offs for the main game will be balanced out by increasing our customer base for the Modules. This is precisely what we've seen happen with above-expectiation Marines sales, and I would not be surprised if we'll see just the same thing happen again with the Brits

Why is the game selling at Battlefield.com at $35.00 while at GamerGate its $9.99??!!
You mean Battlefront.com, right? Anyway, we think that the game is worth much more than $9.99. What you get out of it compared to, say, heavily hyped pre-scripted shooter clones is worth way more than $9.99, and possibly more than $35.
We have no "lowest price" guarantee at Battlefront. But we do price our products fairly at the value we think they present to the customer.
The problem is that retail doesn't care about the "value" of a game. To them it's moving product. This in fact is one of the very reasons why there is a Battlefront.com. You can read more about it in our About Us section, or search the forum for discussions (going way back).

More potential customers for CMSF British Forces!!

PS: can I embed video on this board?
No, HTML is not allowed. If you look in the bottom left corner of the forum page you will see what you are allowed to do and what not (under "Posting Rules").

No, much sooner than that... We have something cooking for you guys having problems between broken Vista drivers and CMBB/CMAK that should hopefully be ready for release sometime this week.

Actually Wushuki is right and wrong at the same time More wrong than right in fact.
SC2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare have in fact been sold in stores across several countries in Europe.
But he's right - they are not sold currently (to my knowledge) any more and certainly not in Hongkong.
He's wrong again in that the reason why this is not that "we don't sell enough copies". Actually it would be no problem for us to find a retail distributor. It's just that we don't want that. Some of the reasons are touched upon in our About Us page over at the main site www.battlefront.com.
So anyway, the only way to purchase is directly from us. Paypal allows you to select many payment options (includung I believe mailing in checks etc. to them) so it should work even if you have no credit cards etc.

Everybody in this thread, please drop it. If you have problems with other posters, there is a very nice Ignore feature that you can activate in your UserCP. You will never have to read a single line from a person you don't wish to be bothered by. That's the quickest solution to resolve this kind of dispute. As a mod, it's impossible to do anything and continue being impartial, therefore *usually* these kinds of things end up in EVERYONE involved getting banned. Let's not let it go that far, simply drop it, set your worst other to Ignore, and live a happy life ever after. Thread locked.

According to the rules Scott MM should now recieve a warning right? Do you agree?
I do not see the "foul language" that you're referring to?
If you say yes to that question, he SOULD be banned now after posting similar posts some months ago:No. Bans are now based on the accumulation of Infraction Points (with some exceptions such as e.g. spam bots posting).
Please leave moderating the forums to the moderators and admins. If you are the person that is targetted by a personal attack, use the "Contact Us" link to report this, but if you have nothing to do with it, then don't get involved.

I'd know if I ever popped a seam...

It's human anatomy alright but the only posters saying ****** are usually spam bots so it's disabled. If it was up to me I'd disable a whole lot more because swearwords got our forum blacklisted in several places before, but overall the bad words filter is pretty liberal as it is.

The Knowledge Base at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk has a number of suggestions. Look both in the eLicense as well as Theatre of War/Theatre of War 2 categories.
If nothing happens, and you do not have Vista, then it's either your DEP settings or your anti-virus program "at work", falsely identifying the game as malware and stopping its function. The Knowledge Base has fixes for this, but you should probably start with disabling your anti-virus or changing the settings so that it leaves the setup files alone.
If nothing else helps... please submit a ticket at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk. We have a little helper application which we can emailto you via the Helpdesk that should help with this as well.

So the new way of writing off your customer feedback is to label suggestions "personal lists" or "peeves" instead of evaluating them on their own merit.
Steve has done way more than write it off as pet peeves and has given Thomm a one by one reply to each item on his list.
When the doc says I need surgery because I'm sick, I don't tell him it's just a matter of taste.Your analogy is wrong on many levels, perhaps all of them. You're not the doc and neither are you the patient.
-
Yes, you are missing that you want to sell a new module with new engine features along with new content. The patch is, obviously, 'just' a spin-off of this development.
Correct, has there been any doubt about that?
Steve said it was "always the plan" to improve CMSF in the patches. Get out more Moon!Right, and there are nine major improvements listed in the manual (in addition to dozens of smaller things not listed there). That puts us well ahead of your average game developer/publisher. I still do not understand the "disappointment". Sounds more like the usual whining based on unreasonable expectations to me

Yes I did...

There isn't any, sorry.
Mirror link problem

Should be fixed now. It looks like the fact that we used the same file name for the new demo as for the previous version caused a few problems on their end. It's been taken care of now apparently, so please re-download. Sorry for the hassle...
