  1. It would be really nice if we could have a fire on my command option added to the artillery system. Trying to time barrages without it is a real pain. Also, how about a "give aid" button for the infantry. I waste a ton of time trying to get my troops to play medic. It's especially annoying when the fallen soldier was carrying the Javelin or RPG.
  2. Thats my second biggest complaint about the campaign. The first is the location of spawning enemy reinforcements. Nothing like carefully moving your light forces forward only to have them wiped out when 4 tanks magically appear. Most of the campaign missions spawn reinforcements in full LOS of where your forces are going to be. At least spawn them behind a hill and have them roll over it. I hope BFC doesn't make the same mistakes with the Marine campaign.
  3. Do you just not want people who pause to be able to say they play using elite mode? I cant think of another reason considering it wont effect MP. No one's going to force you to pause and issue orders.
  4. I wanted them to use both... and target light shouldn't limit their use of the m203. Also noticed that they'll use the AT4 against infantry without a target command. I wouldn't mind this but its usually at about the maximum range for the AT4 and they just end up wasting it.
  5. As some of you have noticed vehicles will sometimes ignore a move order. If this happens then just give the vehicle a couple extra waypoints and they'll get moving. You can delete the extra waypoints after they get going. Something else i noticed is that at times, when I give a unit a specific target they'll only use their M203 and no rifle fire. If I clear the target they'll go back to using their rifles, but wont use the grenade launchers. Doesn't happen all the time, but its definitely not the behavior I expect from the target command.
  6. It might be causing all sorts of issues, but if you still believe the BMP was retreating then do some tests. Make a night mission with a Stryker and one poorly trained T-72. Park the Stryker out of sight and on the flank of the T-72. When you start the mission move the Stryker into LOS and watch. You'll likely see the Stryker spot the T-72 first, engage it with the HMG and then be destroyed... not having taken any actions to break contact with the tank. 7. I'm sure they're going to include smoke after they implement its ability to block LOS (which it currently doesnt do).
  8. It not likely that it was retreating. Theres a couple threads regarding the lack of reactions from the AI in those types of situations. You probably just ran into a path finding issue.
  9. You'll want to avoid issuing a STL (sweep the leg) order in those situations. Johnny
  10. You keep tagging along Dorosh, just hold Steves hand firmly so you dont get lost.
  11. The base game is the product. Cant play the mods without the game they were made for. Maybe, but its hard to believe when I try and refute your points... and your counter-argument is mainly "you're still wrong". I've tried to make clear through this thread that I'm not making any demands, just hoping you'll consider expanding modding in CMSF or future titles. It doesnt have to be all or nothing. Anyway, Dude , while it was clear from that start that we wouldnt agree... I didnt expect (or want) you to take things negatively. Which is the impression i get from the "you dont know jack, STFU" style comments. Maybe you took some of what I said the wrong way. Too late to do anything about that now, though. I'm going to drop this argument, so rest easy Steve. Its 12am and I'm going to sleep. Goodnight
  12. Causing infantry causlties might be realistic. I dont agree with it immobilizing Strykers or causing crews to bail out, though. Maybe i'm completely understimating the smoke launchers, but its a bit hard to imagine.
  13. I considered that, but wouldnt WP kill or injure all the disembarking infantry going through the smoke?
  14. Doesnt fit the invasion Syria theme, but... I'd like to see a scenario where an understrength FOB is under a large scale Uncon attack. The goal for the US force being to prevent the FOB from being overrun while at the same time trying to break through with a reaction force. You could make it a purple force to simulate IA working with the US forces. It would obviously have to take place in a urban setting.
