  1. http://www.battlefield.ru/tanks/is2/is2_2.jpg Umm, this one is real hot!!
  2. Yeah I can tell you that MZO CM is a great place to be. It adds another dimension to CM PBEM playing. You can start your own threads in the PBEM forum and tell other ppl about your games and post pictures (which is really easy BTW). There are lots of detailed AARs too with pictures. The ppl are very friendly. So go and have a look.
  3. Stikku, talking about ... cough... umm, get ready, here it comes : 'Nahverteidigungsaffe'?
  4. LOL, yeah that sure works... ...unless my opponent has a Firefly. dieseltaylor, ya reading this?!
  5. Great tips. I always thought that AT rifles were worthless, but now I'm gonna use them more!
  6. Hi, Since playing von Lauchert I have become an absolute fan of the Panther and so far it hasn't disappointed me (well, except for getting KO'd in a recent PBEM by a M10 which hit the turret which is the 'weaker' spot, 100/curved). I now strongly believe that it is better than the Tiger, though requires more micromanagement as the sides aren't all that well armored. They can stand up easily to IS-2's and their accuracy is, well, quite deadly. The 75L70 is a beauty, only the 17 pdr is better that it in it's calibre. I was wondering, after reading the PanzerIV thread if you guys have any good tips on using the Panther more effectively. Any tips or tricks will be well appreciated. TIA!
  7. *I had the same problem, try hitting CTRL-F5 after logging in. Thanks * Thank you very much Viriato. It works!!
  8. Does running tire the infantry more than advancing?
  9. I 'run' a lot, rather than 'advance', due to the speed. But in a recent PBEM turn I have had several casualties during a relatively short run when hidden enemy infantry fired upon me. Question : Is running worth it when you are near the objective and run the risk of being fired upon?
  10. Hi all, I have been trying for the last few days, without any success, to log on to the cmmods site (www.cmmods.com). I have used several usernames and email addresses but nothing seems to work. When I give the site my username and password it just goes back to the same old intro page. I have sent an email to cozog@cozog.com but as yet have received no replies. Any idea what is causing this problem?
  11. Very interesting. Thanks for the info Captain_Gars!!
  12. Hi all, I would like to know more about the Pz Brigade von Lauchert. I have some confusions. Like were there 200 or 300 panthers? How many were destroyed after the first day of fighting. Why were casualties so high (besides being tightly packed or going over unswept minefields or lead by an 'incompetent' commander, that is )? Wasn't it stupid to lose over 277 of these superb tanks in just 5 days to advance only ~4-5 miles? Any information you can give me will be helpful.
  13. LOL, me too! *Anything* JasonC writes and WBW creates, I'm up for it!
  14. Eid mobarak to all of you!! May the message of Eid reach you all!! Enjoying every moment of this Eid, whew!!!!!!
  15. My post pasted from another forum : 'Just played the CMAK version of the old Riesberg scenario again. Wow man, that was (and is) one hell of a scenario! FYI, Riesberg has been (re)created in all three versions of the CM series. The cover arc features of BB and AK significantly helps the German defender. Ofcourse, CMAK puffing effect (dust after shells hit ground) also adds a twist for both the attacker and the defender. The 4 shermans, used OK by a human, with infantry support, can give a human player a decent chance. I will have to play the scenario again on the attack to see how tough/easy that will be. I recommend all of you give this great scenario a try. Available at derkessel.org, go to the CMAK Memory Lane section. These are all alpha or beta scenarios. These scenarios generated TREMENDOUS interest and I must say these later versions have been very faithfully reproduced. I am also looking foward to some more great CMBO scenarios being remade. I especially liked one CMBO CD scenario, a meeting engagement in a town separated by two bridges between the Krauts and the Joes (Americans started with Stuarts and HTs, Germans had Lynxs and Puma and three PzIVs). I forgot the name, sorry, but it had a somewhat long name, 'wait and die' type... doh, but that was really great, as was Chance Encounter and Last Defense. Oh, and not to mention, Valley of Trouble. Three hours of pure fun!! God bless BFC.'
  16. Can you provide any links Sergei? Does it feature the SS Gerbirgsjaegerkorps?
  17. I still dare not play Ops via PBEMs as I think they would take a looong time. But Barbarossa, from reading the briefings, does look quite interesting. I have heard so much about Our Backs to the Volga. I think I need to try it out!!
  18. Heh, it's only your second post and you're already trolling! Wow! Now, I understand that it wasn't actually an 'enlightened' topic. I just asked for ppl's opinion. But will you kindly oblige me by saying what makes you think it is soooo stupid, pls?! And pls, refrain from using words such as 'stupid faggot' unless you want me to use some sweet words too!
  19. Hi guys, Tell me of the five scenarios and three operations you think are the best in CMBB. I have not yet played all, but personally I like : SCNEARIOS : 1. Jaegermeister (Germans ROCK!!!) 2. Directive no. 3 (Interesting) 3. Pride of the Luftwaffe (It's big and it MAKES YOU thin)* 4. Balkovzy Surprise (Loved it) 5. Battle of the Minors (Umm, it's kinda OK, got into the list because I only have played so many scens) Also 3. *Once a King - Loved it!! I got a draw out! OPS : Played none! Your turn!
