  1. This is amusing, sad and aggravating all at the same time, to think there are people happy to send their own guys out to fight in this condition on the modern battlefield. They look like they've come from the Iran/Irag war. Are they accepting donated gear? Edit - or are they civies doing the donating? Might explain their hand-me-down equipment.
  2. Another thread with details of failed RU attacks Full thread - https://twitter.com/OSINTua/status/1693320448489013587
  3. Another view - go to the twitter thread to see. Poster claims 2 T-80s damaged+abandoned, 2 BMPs destroyed. More
  4. Long version of the above. The tank supporting them backs onto a mine and a twitter post says his HUMVEE was hit by RU artillery. YT thinks it's russian so subs aren't great. Edit - this is the same footage as the post above and has interviews, background and drone images to give overall the picture.
  5. I saw this clip on another twitter account earlier. Interesting if it's real. Is said to be comments from some RU aid workers who work in occupied parts of UKR. It's apparent what they say goes against the official line.
  6. Some pretty intense footage of 59th OMBR attacking trench lines. Youtube thinks it's russian so auto-gen subs aren't great. One of the HUMVEE's hits a mine, I really hope the infantryman caught in the blast came out ok.
  7. Was watching this time lapse and I wondered if it would be worth hitting all the repair equipment on the Kerch bridge with a couple of these missiles to slow down the repair process. Too difficult or not worth the trouble/there are better targets? Edit - answered my own question, it's not in range yet.
  8. Report with some good vision of the UKR produced 155mm Bohdana that was recently introduced to service. No subs on the clip yet unfortunately.
  9. ISW today devotes some time to what they believe are lateral RU troop redeployments to sure up the Rotobyne defenses - hopefully true and further indicating that the boiling of the frog continues. There's 3 or 4 further paragraphs on the topic here https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/russian-offensive-campaign-assessment-august-11-2023
  10. Long interview with two former US servicemen now in southern Ukraine. They discuss lots of things, I'm about half way through and so far they've talked about river operations near Kherson, the UKR offensive, building an NCO corps.
  11. Now that the landing ship is fixed in place, it would be nice if UKR had the capability to hit it with something...
  12. Been reading a few tweets claiming that UKR managed to capture battalion commander, one Major Tomov, in a raid over the river near Kherson. Believe this is translated Telegram posts relating to the above describing what happened from the RU side And these have been posted in the same thread, go-pro footage of a river raid. Can't be sure it's tehs same action, the text claims it is I think.
  13. Wonder if this is related, I think supposed to be from comments. Is it a Leo? (NB - posted from pro RU account)
  14. Another mildly interesting tweet. Abandoned T-55 with some sort of projectile stuck in it's cage armour
  15. Posting this just because it's not something you see everyday - HEAT round stuck in a tree trunk.
  16. Nice - Motherland monument now with the UKR trident. Not nice - Niger locals (paid shills?) waving "Wagner+Russia=Freedom" sign
  17. More sea drone attacks overnight apparently
  18. These displays are great. I really do wonder WTF the people who dream these up are thinking and who the hell is watching them - are they performing for children?
  19. The guy in the humvee turret speaks some UKR when he's commanding the vehicle. The wounded soldier (Ari?) has less Ukrainian from what I've seen of his vids. If you watch more of the clips from Civ Div you'll see that once away from their unit comms btwn the legion guys and most Ukrainians really breaks down. For all everyone is trying it's often painful to watch.
  20. From the last ISW update: https://www.facebook.com/AFUkraine/posts/pfbid031yerC9QAoA54turHzk1SQRFNohozkdthhKjukKrtQqFiamMWJo6qW9jbNeH6ysUHl
  21. BUK launch unit and some sort for crane? Edit - nope, better clip explaining what the targets are
  22. The captured CV-90 And a captured AMX-10
  23. https://twitter.com/i/status/1684600303532769288 The clip is restricted so you have to click it to watch - is nothing gruesome. Some beat up Chechen's moving away from a tiny village called Andriivka, south of Bakhmut according to this linked post. Same vicinity that has had pressure on it for weeks. Haven't really seen or heard much at all relating Kadyrovites since the mutiny (remember that?)
