Troublething
in pre-normandy combat mission games there was a colored line between my tank and the enemy it is shooting at. did they delete this option or where can i find the key to turn it on?
barrage
As far as I know it does not exist. CMx2 is more like RL , you don't know where the shot is coming from, you have to get eyes on the shooter somehow

Erik Springelkamp
in pre-normandy combat mission games That would be Combat Mission Afghanistan and Combat Mission Shock Force.
womble
Drawing your troops firing lines could eat a lot of processor. Every member of an infantry element could be firing (or not firing) at a different target, so for a US squad you would need to show (or not show) 12 or so lines. Those lines would quite possibly change several times over the course of a minute as the TacAI chooses targets on a changing battlefield. Tanks can have 2 or three separate targets. The targetting lines for each weapon would have to be distinct, or you wouldn't know whether it's the bow gun or the main armament which is firing at a given target. And if you watch the action you'll see where they're shooting.
